Congrats Burg. We were outmatched tonight. Burg multiple fumbles kept us in the game. Good to see the Hurd kid get the td at the end. Good luck Burg in the playoffs! Time to get the basketballs out with Coach Davis!

The bet would have been the 3 touchdowns you said they would win by. Which you didn't win by by the way.Jolly P(irate) wrote::aaaaa41 WHEELERSBURG, HOME OF THE GOLD FOOTBALL. SOC BABY!!!!!!
And to think I coulda took your rent money Westfan.![]()
Honestly West is making great strides under the new regime. Great season and thanks for a great atmosphere. Class act.
Congratulations to Wheelersburg. They have a nice team.
Wanna say how proud I am of the West team. They play with class and their play far exceeds the sum of their parts. Which is a testament to the kids and the coaches. These guys laid the foundation for our program going forward.

Sorry I jumped the gun. That was literally 2 minutes before the fumble return to the house.Westfan wrote:The bet would have been the 3 touchdowns you said they would win by. Which you didn't win by by the way.Jolly P(irate) wrote::aaaaa41 WHEELERSBURG, HOME OF THE GOLD FOOTBALL. SOC BABY!!!!!!

So are we eliminated from playoff contention? Radio made it sound like we were but I noticed Waverly beat Chesapeake; which was one thing we needed to happen.

I told some buddies of mine before the game win or lose, make the playoffs or not it dont matter. The new coaching staff and this bunch of young men past all expectations myself and a lot of other Westsiders had for this season. Great job! I truely believe the future is very bright for the West football program.

Idk. The ptown game tomorrow will help out a little too if they win. But as far as I know Eastmoore needed to get beat also or a bunch of their L2 games losing. Eitel will help us out in the morning with a good measuring stick for the state rankings.Westfan wrote:So are we eliminated from playoff contention? Congrats to the W'burg Pirates on the outright SOCII championship! I hope you get the region this year!!
Re: Week 10 The Pirates vs. The Senators
Well, both teams were helping each other up just like last year. I don't know why #4 for Burg pushed the west player after #4 made a nice tackle. Seems kinda fishy, and I didn't see the first personal foul Burg got. But I did see the two big ones on West at about the 8 minute mark of the fourth so don't go touting how disciplined either team was. Seemed to me like the usual hard hitting game you normally see in this rivalry. and tempers flared. Main thing is to not take it out on defensless players!!!! NO CLASS!1fan wrote:Congrats to the burg on the win.
Good luck in the playoffs. I will say one thing I am so pleased with the new coach. He has really taught these kids discipline and how to act with wins and in defeat!! Seems funny that the burg had the personal fouls and the west kids helped the burg kids up off the field all night. What a great bunch of west kids!!! They should def be proud and def be pleased with their season. I know it's tough for these kids to not continue their season next week. You have nothing to hang your heads about. Great season!!

Eitel is updated and West is sitting @ 9 with no Eastmoor final yet.
Re: Week 10 The Pirates vs. The Senators
Amen. This team definitely exceeded expectations in my opinion. We could easily be 9-1 right now without a couple key injuries early in the season or the ball just bounce the other way.luvbigcats wrote:I told some buddies of mine before the game win or lose, make the playoffs or not it dont matter. IMO we are going to keep getting better. Our talent level should continue to get better the next couple years.

Geez. It was a well played game. Few penalties.demaniac1 wrote: Well, both teams were helping each other up just like last year. If you noticed the kid that that did the late hit came out, was disciplined, and I don't believe went back in the game.
Both teams do stuff. They are kids.

I have watched the Burg play twice this year. I have been very impressed with the d-line they are nasty. We have heard all year about how good the o-line and the rest of the offense is but in my opinion that d-line is the back bone of the Burgs team.

They are overrated to many. I believe that is the 5th time this year that a star RB was held to just around 50 yards. They are gritty and quick. Answer this, is 8 sacks overrated?luvbigcats wrote:I have watched the Burg play twice this year. I have been very impressed with the d-line they are nasty. Right. It will be great to watch this team grow over the next few years.1fan wrote:Roflmaodemaniac1 wrote:Well, both teams were helping each other up just like last year. Re: Week 10 The Pirates vs. The Senators
One of the late personnel fouls was a retaliation for a few other plays before that I believe. That's who the refs usally catch. The youngman was disciplined and I don't think he came back in the game after that.demaniac1 wrote:Well, both teams were helping each other up just like last year.
