Week 10 Minford @ Valley

How do you recover a your own fumble in your own enzone and get a touchback?? I'm watching it on the web. Did I miss something?

Ridiculous. Think they said Valley got possession in the end zone and lost it out of the back of the end zone and called it a touchback. So minford got a fresh set of downs at the 20. Makes no sense. At very least it should have been a safety

One official calls touch town and other official calls it a touchback. Said valley fumbled the ball out of the end zone. So they gave Minford gets a 1st down at the 20

If they are saying Valley had possession wouldn't that be a TD? its a touchdown as soon as you have possession correct?

Yes. Correct. Once you gain possession, it is a TD and the ball is dead. If Valley doesn't gain possession, then it is a safety

Yeah right..these guys aren't from Valley. They are horrible. If the refs were good. There would be a running clock already.

Theyve helped you out....especially on the 1st possession. Minford cant move the ball and it has nothing to do with a ref.

No but throwing 4 personal fouls that were a joke doesn't help and you guys are whipping is not bashing the team just the officiating it's bad both ways

Minford had the ball...the Valley players have to gain possession...a loose ball knocked out of the back of the endzone is a safety, because possession was never gained. Had Valley "gained" possession...its a touchdown for the Indians.

Valley clearly better. The thinking on the touchback call was Minford lost ball on 1 yard line then in the scuffle vally players knocked it out. Still doesn't explain why forward progress wasn't called but o well. Haha
