Week #9 Warren at Portsmouth
Well the Warriors have another shot this week. Must find a way to score inside the Red Zone. Two long drives of over 12 plays and nothing. So offense is playing better. Defense has played well in all games save maybe Athens. But was on field most of games early. Long drive, hard place to win if Portsmouth gets up on you early. Will have to score in 1st qtr to have a chance.

Re: Week #9 Warren at Portsmouth
Warren can and does, of late, establish a running game and have long drives, eat up clock. Now get accross the goal line and things might get better.
Re: Week #9 Warren at Portsmouth
They probably will score and score again, But The Trojans have a chance in this one, Ill take My Trojans !

Going with Warren! Just can never root for the Trojans for anything! I don't believe in the indigenous values of the undertow!
Re: Week #9 Warren at Portsmouth
With Warrens defense being where it is they can hold the Portsmouth Offense better than Portsmouth Defense can hold Warrens Offense.
Look for a high scoring game with a possibility of the last team with the ball winning

noreply66 Hope Warren can score high. Have not scored in double digits since Marietta. Has had many opportunities to score, however, when we get inside the 20 the lugnuts fall off the bus.

I'll be taking in my final Portsmouth game of the season tonight. This is a game the Trojans can win. I'm guessing it will be high scoring. Go Trojans!

Re: Week #9 Warren at Portsmouth
While I think Portsmouth should win this game, I (and I am sure many in the stands on Friday nights) cannot be too hopeful. We have one of the fastest kids in this part of the state, and he carries the ball up the middle a 20+ times a game. But hey, at least he got some yards last week vs. Jackson JV. Not sure why he was still playing, but hey, I'm only a spectator.
My predictions for the night, in no particular order:
1. Trojans have a ton of offense.
2. Warren has its best offensive game of the year and scores more touchdowns tonight than the rest of the season combined.
3. Portsmouth will waste at least 4 timeouts to chew out the defense.
4. Portsmouth varsity will play the whole game, regardless if it is close or a running clock.
5. A coach's hair will actually catch fire on the sideline tonight, thus justifying the complete lack of discipline and utter pandemonium that is typically displayed down there.
That being said, the hope well springs eternal. Portsmouth in a close one: 84-82

Re: Week #9 Warren at Portsmouth
Portsmouth gets the W in their final game as a member of the SEOAL. This one could have been worse than it was imo. Portsmouth took their starters out early 4th maybe even late 3rd. Warren had a ton of personal foul penalties. One kid got ejected for twisting a Trojan players ankle. Glad to see the Trojans get their 2nd win of the season though. Robinson was a monster. Final game next week against Cincinnati Hughes. Go Trojans!

Would liked to have seen the final stats of this game. As usual though the PORTSMOUTH DAILY TIMES dropped the ball with no coverage of it!!!!!!
