Monroe Central (6-2) @ Frontier (6-2)
Monroe Central (6-2) @ Frontier (6-2)
Frontier is a good football team, but their schedule was pretty weak up till week 6. Monroe Centrals defense held Barnesville to just 3 yards rushing, it's starting to look like the Monroe Central defense we're used to. I think MC wins this one 42-14.

Noles dominate again. 44-0... Caldwell is lucky that we don't play in the same region.

Definitely this week's 'Game of the Century' in the PVC.
If Reynolds can find time to pass it could be interesting, but I think ol' Gen. Schuerman will have too much 'D' for the Cougs.
Circosta needs this one for another playoff trip for the Seminoles.
I will go out on a limb and call it 33-6 MC.

I have to agree with PVC MAN. I feel if Monroe And Caldwell played in the same region and got matched up together, I think Monroe would win that one. Just my opinion.

So I guess sometimes it is better to be lucky than to be 2nd place?PVC MAN wrote:Caldwell is lucky that we don't play in the same region.
Re: Monroe Central (6-2) @ Frontier (6-2)
You're not in the same region, but you're in the same conference as Caldwell, and they beat your Seminoles on your own field. I think it's funny how you can't deal with that.
Re: Monroe Central (6-2) @ Frontier (6-2)
It's not that that, I'm just saying if Monroe and Caldwell would play again I think it would be a completely different ball game.
Re: Monroe Central (6-2) @ Frontier (6-2)
But we lost our chance obviously starting slow in the first half.

It could be a completely different ball game but the fact remains when they played in Woodsfield Caldwell won. In that game they literally doubled Monroe in total yards, they also quadrupled them at the minimum in penalty yards that weren't necessary. Circosta did a great job keeping them in the game and giving them a chance to win. The Lori kid had more yards than the entire Central team that night.

Re: Monroe Central (6-2) @ Frontier (6-2)
So check this out: "If you jump high enough you'll get over it." Lord, Caldwell won you lost, period end of story. You know Caldwell might have just gotten better as the year went on too, sooooooo. Now thats my "I got no dog in that fight." Just my humble opinion all that matters at the end of the season is the "W's" and the "L's" Monroe got the "L". Lets get back to Frontier and Monroe Central. #1 Game at Frontier, #2 Weather will likely be a factor., #3 Frontier is a pretty solid team, #4 Did I say game at Frontier? So with that being said, the game still has to be played and the outcome will be what it is. Either way, Barnes is one of the best running backs in the area, Camino one of the best D-backs Monroe will see, (6 picks leads everyone in the area), QB is pretty good and the fullback can be a problem for anyone. From Monroe Central's credentials. This could/should be a very competative contest. Hope for the best for the Cougars.

Side note: What year did Frontier beat Monroe Central? They did beat them once, right? (Serious question, not raking anyone.)
Re: Monroe Central (6-2) @ Frontier (6-2)
I'm thinking it was about 7 years ago. I wonder if the answer is on joeeitel.com site?
wish i'd seen that one just for the sake of seeing the reactions from both sides. I've never seen such a lop-sided series in any league.
I think even the year had a 9-0 record the one game cancelled because of either a strike or weather was this one.

They were 10-0 that year and lost to Danville. Watched that game, it was very cold that night.

2004, 9-0 regular season, Beallsville game was cancelled, lost to Danville 35-7
The MC game was 14-7

Right, I remember that now. If I recall, Beallsville was just outside the playoffs - had they played and upset Frontier, they would have been in and Danville would've been out. Frontier would've drawn Rosecrans in the 1st Round instead. (Of course it is doubtful Beallsville would have won, but it is crazy to think that an odd circumstance may have let Danville in and they ended up winning the region).MC Noles SportsFan wrote:2004, 9-0 regular season, Beallsville game was cancelled, lost to Danville 35-7
