WEEK 7: LOGAN (3-3) @ JACKSON (6-0)
Re: WEEK 7: LOGAN (3-3) @ JACKSON (6-0)
Just confused how Potter played versus Burg and dominated with the foot injury....I don't want the kid to hurt himself but why did he play against Burg and not against Logan?
Re: WEEK 7: LOGAN (3-3) @ JACKSON (6-0)
People have been sleeping on jackson and underestimating them all year....so in keeping with that ill say Logan 48
Jackson 7
Logan throws all over jackson. Jackson has played a bunch of d5 schools

As an old coach use to say, there are 3 phases to football! Offence, defense and special teams! Logan has a good offence, Logan has a poor defense and the special teams are down right way below average!! Logan will lose 2 phases of the football game tonight and the scoreboard will be!

Sad but true we need help on the defensive side of the ball, if we had a defense we should be 5-1 the same with our kicking game, needs help! look for the ironboys to have a very good night!doubleplay643 wrote:What is up with the reverse psychology phenomena and the Logan faithful...resorting to this is just wrong on all levels moonshine, give me a break please lol.moonshine wrote:As an old coach use to say, there are 3 phases to football! Thanks. Logan's top two QBs have been out, one I know is out for the year. Freshman team was really good early in the year, but have played a limited schedule due to injuries. Most of the Freshman have been playing in the JV games.Ironmen44 wrote:Logan @ Jackson Freshmen Game

Ironmen 28 - 0 look for Chiefs to collapse from the physical play by the Ironmen on both sides of the ball.

Lots of "Lou Holtz"ing going on on this thread today.
Reality - Jackson is 6-0 and crushed three 2013 playoff qualifiers. Logan hasn't beaten a team that qualified for the playoffs since 2009.
I doubt Logan "cruises."

Is the earth off its axis or something.
Jackson and Logan fans seeing who can out reverse psychology the other one or what is going on.
Went from couple accurate injury reports to a whole team quarantined for flu bug. And Logan on the other side claiming they have no D or special teams (even though that was a key to their win last year) and favoring us.
Going to put on my waders cause the ^%$# is getting deep in here. Probably need those waders for tonight's rain...what a Homecoming lol.

I'm just being honest. Logan is all-around better than they were in 2013. But so is Jackson.
I just think Jackson is MUCH MUCH MUCH better than 2013.
Logan's defense has struggled against good teams. They have played 4 quality opponents (if we include Nelsonville-York, who MAY make the playoffs). Three of those opponents absolutely gashed Logan on the ground. Logan did do a nice job against N-Y, but they also were without their best back.
As for special teams, Logan is pretty solid overall. The kick coverage teams are good and the punting has been outstanding. BUT, the PAT team has been a mess for two weeks.
And while yes, special teams were a BIG reason for Logan's win last season, they had already returned two kick-offs for touchdown BEFORE the Jackson game last year with a couple other "near" returns.
This season that total stands at zero, including "near" returns.
I think Logan has a chance to score as many points as Jackson has allowed all season - 32 - but still may lose the game.
Unless I'm just wrong about Jackson. But I think this looks like their best team since 1996.
