Good post, Larry finally had 11 athletes that could match up against a team like Burg and had a great plan tonight and had them coached up.

Great atmosphere, class fans when we were leaving were very complimentary, good experience all around. Good luck to the pirates the rest of the way.

And the hot dog sauce was best I ever had lol.

Great win for Jackson against one of SE Ohio's premier programs.

One word, Dominated! Burg could not even gain a single yard on multiple occasions, you could hear a mouse piss on cotton on the Burg side of the field! Lol

Jackson has a strong running game, or at least they did again ready! I don't think Jackson has the personel to match up against burg. No taking anything away from the ironmen because they will win their share of games this season.I just think burg is too strong and balanced this year! Burg 42-14!
Are you still holding to this comment....

Great game Ironmen you came to play and did.
Is Wheelersburg as bad as showed No are you as good as Showed yes.
Great win for you and your march to the playoffs.
You beat a very good Wheelersburg team tonight and you should be proud as well as your fans.
Wheelersburg lost to a very good team tonight and have no reason to be ashamed of period.
A loss is not the end of the world both teams came in 4-0 and someone had to lose.
But both teams put it all on the field and win or lose they will grow and learn from tonight and hopefully get better.

Great win for Jackson against the premier program in SE Ohio. The Ironmen are legit! They still have major hurdles on their schedule against Logan and Ironton. Can Jackson compete in the post season in region 9 against the likes of Athens, Desales, and company? Only time will tell.

Extremely impressive win by Jackson. We knew they were good, and this win solidifies they are pretty darn good. I'd put them No. 2 behind Athens in SE Ohio.

I'm not gonna pile on Wheelersburg at all, because I always want the SOC to do well, but the D3 argument is petty, when Burg was pounding Jackson the last few years the division size wasnt talked about.

I think what needs to be looked at here is Jackson just beat the D5 AP #2 and #3 teams both by 4 TDs in back to back weeks. Andy Hall has one heck of a squad up there, and they seem primed to make a run. Can they compete with LE, Athens, DeSales? We will see...I cant wait for the Ironton matchup.

Congrats Ironmen, and Burg will bounce back....they always do.

In the last two weeks Jackson has made a statement and that statement is "hey Ohio we are very good"

Congrats on another huge victory.

Ironton will have to improve their defense to beat Jackson.

I posted I thought our veteran Oline would be dominate in this game. I guess our previous teams were not that good and Jackson was. But 4 trips to Jacksons red zone and no score, give Jacksons defense all the credit! Jacksons unbalanced Oline was classic. Run it that way, run it that way, gain yards, then counter. Boom! Burg over pursuing and nobody in the middle. Big yards. I like Burgs D, they swarm, but we got outcoached and Jackson this year had the athletes to make us pay. I hope the players and coaches have been humbled and take it to heart. Normally Burg gets a good ironton team week 1 and they respond to the speed of the game right off the bat. This yr Jackson hit us in the mouth in week 5 because we didn't have the same competition. I say use that advantage and get ready for Grove then the SOC. Make it a positive thing! If u can! Im still thinking Burg will win the SOC2 and go far in the playoffs. This group is that good!!

Divisions do matter thats why they have them. It would be equal to Jackson playing a strong division 1 program. They would get spanked! It would be expected that they lose! Another issue act like you have been there gatorade bath for Andy and Larry hall, you would have thought they won the state championship how embarrassing. You only beat a division 5 school. I predict if they get in the playoffs and play schools there own size they lose early like they have every other year. And thats if they are lucky enough to make the playoffs because of their schedule of playing smaller schools!

You are a complete moron! Wheelersburg is a great team and it's a huge accomplishment to beat them especially the way the Ironmen did! You are just a sore and pissed off loser Burg fan that's been crying every since the half last night. Lmao

I was at the game and I am a fan of neither school. What I saw is the Burg got spanked in all aspects of the game. Jackson just hit them in the mouth. Its funny cause all week on here 90% of the people were talking about how Burg would just handle them and it might get out of hand, and now since Burg got totally embarassed on their home field. the topic is that Jackson is a bigger school and they will get beat in the playoffs cause their schedule is weak. Give them some credit they are a really good football team and totally different from Burg. Burg tries to run around you and Jackson just runs thru you.

BurgGrad_06 wrote:Footballlover07..... You think burgs first four games have been softer than Jacksons?? Hahaha Ironton would smash any1 that Jackson has played so far!!! Also what makes you think burg won't be able to run? We have ran the ball on every defense we played! Our online can and will open holes against anyone they play!! I know that Jackson don't have near the athletes as Portsmouth and look how that ended up! Also I know Ironton has a bigger stronger and faster dline than Jackson. U need to open your eyes!
Well, alrighty then...Great game Jackson! Hate that it turned out that way. Burg is an unbelievably talented and disciplined group, as well as well coached. Good luck to both programs the rest of the season!

I have no problem eating crow!!! My pirates got spanked!! Jackson will be a tough tough out in the playoffs. I wish Jackson luck the rest of the season except against Ironton! I really hope this series gets renewed, even though Jackson will probably have burgs number for the next few years!! Jackson is a young but very talented team!

Jackson enrollment for boys is 306, Burg enrollment for boys is 170. Difference of 136. If you add that 136 to the Jackson enrollment we would still almost being playing in the Division 3 range which is like 281-410 (or close to that I haven't looked it up). We will be very close to the D3/D4 cutoff when they count again.

The kids tossed the water, not the fans, they were I am sure excited.

When you use the division argument understand the ranges and have a basic understanding of mathematics.

Like I said last night the Burg fans last night I met were class acts like the teams they field, ThenWhat you may want to join the majority of your community and have some class like they do.

Good luck to the Pirates rest of season.
