Looks like Coach Penrod already has the Blue Devils trending in the right direction.

The Jackson/Gallia Academy game has seen some crazy things in the past, so I've learned to expect the unexpected when these two teams get together. Always tough for Jackson to go into Memorial Field and get a win, so they'll have to play well to get to 3-0. I think the Ironmen will take care of business though.

Jackson should have too much for the Blue Devils. If I remember right, the McCoy kid for Jackson is a handful and their defense has been so stout under the Halls. They play aggressive - but also disciplined - and are really good at taking away the running game and then turning loose a really good pass rush.

Think the Gallipolis offense will struggle to do enough to win the game. Jackson will also have an edge in the kicking game I think.

Gallipolis defense could give Jackson a few problems, but don't know if they can sustain the effort for 4 quarters.

Good old fashioned rivalry. Glad these two are playing again.

Think Blue Devils will have a winning game plan. But this game will come down to jimmy's and joe's and Jackson will win. But Blue Devils will continue to turn some heads here. As I expect a great effort.

I remember one year Jackson came in undefeated and the blue was having a down year, suddenly the unseen powers of memorial field kicked in and the blue pulled off one of the greatest upsets in school history.... this being our first home game of the year I look for the blue to be fired up and giving it there best.... wish jottings was still around to give us a complete history of this great series...

Read where this is the 100th meeting of these two schools.

There has been some great games in the past with a lot of them being Week 10 match-ups. It will be good to travel to GA this Friday and see these two schools back after it again.

Anyone know how long this series is for? Is it just a two year home and home deal?
