big games are raceland @ ironton and burg @ ports west

eastmoor big games are

st charles vs marion harding
thomas worthington vs olentangy liberty
south vs marion franklin
independence vs walnut ridge
westland vs central crossing

all those will have no impact if ports west beats burg

If all Eastmoor's defeated win ,then which West beaten teams have to win assuming west loses Friday for West to have a shot?

This is my take (not a number cruncher, just a SE Ohio fan)...

It looks like the only question, besides who plays whom where, is which team will get the 8th spot?

*If Portsmouth West beats Wheelersburg then West is in.

*If Wheelersburg beats West then the Chesapeake/Waverly game becomes important to the Senators...
-If Waverly beats Chesapeake then West still has a chance depending on what Eastmoor's defeated opponents do in week 10
-If Chesapeake beats Waverly then West is out, regardless of Eastmoor's opponents results

*Eastmoor's chance is to win, of course, and all of their opponents win and a Portsmouth West and Waverly loss.

Is this correct?

The Portsmouth/Hughes game has an impact also.

eastmoor win and a west loss i have the following

eastmoor L1 43.5 L2 99 = 14.35 ( this includes the auto L2 they get west vs briggs game and the 1 win from africentric)

west L1 31.5 L2 109 = 14.05 ( this includes the auto L2 they get , south point vs fairland and the valley beating minford)

therefore that leaves the following

westland vs central crossing (worth 6.5)
st charles vs marion harding (worth 6)
thomas worthing vs olentangy liberty ( worth 6.5)
south vs marion franklin (worth 5)
independence vs walnut ridge ( worth 5.5)
-----------------------------------------------------------
west games
portsmouth vs hughes (worth 5.5)
waverly vs chesapeake (worth 4.5)
rock hill vs coal grove (AUTO LOSE)

going to have to make up ground with west having 2 games and eastmoor having 5 to choose from

Good explanation. Hopefully we win Friday. But if we don't; that sucks. Just more reason to get these OVC schools off the schedule.

I dont see waverly beating peake. what are the chances for losses in the 5 eastmoor games getting pretty picky i know but looks to me like that is the solution

I like the way you think, but there is a conference title on the line, so that isn't going to happen!

i think 3 of eastmoor games are suppose to be for sure losses and other 2 are tossups

if waverly and portsmouth both won and my math is correct it would take 2 of eastmoor games to win in order to knock off west!!!

Eastmoors opponents will have 4 for sure losses and one toss up. St. Charles is the only for sure win. The toss up should be a loss, with Walnut Ridge beating Independence.

For those that don't know, Eastmore is located within 2 miles of Hartley. They have scrimmaged the last 3 or 4 years. It would be nice to see them make it to week 11 but it would also be nice to see West or any other team come to Columbus for a Saturday night game. The Hawks will be a tough out week 11 at home.

I doubt that the ohsaa would willingly let that happen, especially to a southern ohio team.

Assuming Ironton stays at 4/5 and Hartley at 1, and both make it to Week 12.

I think Jackson is a good halfway point for a neutral field on a Saturday night.
