They may be ok for some D3 schools but there are a lot of other ways to get looks and they cost a good amount. My take: you don't need them.

Mostly overblown. First, you need to have a REAL HONEST evaluation of the player. That can come from his coach. Most D-I schools rarely miss out on talent but do screw up the evaluation and over rate prospects who turn out not to be as good as advertised. D-II schools will look at players if you contact them. D- III talent is a case if they don't contact you early, its O.K. to contact them and express interest in playing for small college U. Aid will be based on your ability to pay and what grants, scholarships and assistance you can find in private , state and Federal levels.

And , college football isn't for everyone. Its glamourized when in fact its work.

DO NOT waste your time or money on a recruiting service, Paladin is in all honestly probably more skilled than the best for hire talent out there. With his phenomenal success as a head coach in Eastern and NE Ohio, he's made ton of contacts and when he calls the coaches listen! Just get Paladin the film and he will make it happen.

I've been told directly by college coaches, in other sports. They hit delete on emails from recruiting services without reading. I don't know about football, but I wouldn't be surprised if it's true here also.

All of them said a sort email with name, cell number, graduation year, gpa and link to youtube video is a better way.

Recruiting agency's are not for everyone! But by all means, if you say they are a waste of time and money, you have no idea what you are talking about. Now obviously, if you are a clear cut division 1 prospect you don't need it, but otherwise it's pretty relevant. I personally work for a recruiting agency, we do not claim to come evaluate kids and their talents we simply take stats, vitals, video, academic info that kind of thing and send it to colleges. Most colleges you've never heard of! I'm not going to sit here and market my company out to everyone, but if you say they don't work and are a waste of time and money, then come read all the emails I get per day from college coaches. It's well over a 100 per day. I've seen services work for most kids.

Rant over.

You or your parents can do that same work for less cost. And your coaches should be doing a big part of this as well. There are way more kids who go to those small colleges you've never heard of and they do not pay the high fees of these companies. But by all means, go ahead and promote that recuriting service in the large building in the city of your handle. Not like that's not hard to figure out.

I still say, just get Paladin, he's got all the connections.

I am not saying the price is not high, or the coaches shouldn't be helping, or the parents shouldn't be doing it. But, that is not a coach's job, not in his job description and honestly most high school coaches don't do this. Most parents have no idea what they are doing. Which is why people do it.
