Hamilton played 6 playoff teams last year beating three of them. They are a much improved program.
The finished at 7-3 one spot out of the playoffs. They easily could of won 8 or 9 games.

Yeah It hurts Hamilton being D2 to play a school the size of NY. I think Hammy has to get a week 2 & 3 game next year to replace Worthington kilborne and Licking Heights. I think they are trying to schedule up. I always hated the Bern Union game. NY should look to Amanda or Fairfield union if they have anything open. They Mvl would have some good matchups for NY too. Would like to see NewLex. Liked playing Ironton too.

The MVL has a deal worked out with another league (can't remember which one it us) for nonleague games.

Most years the Bucks could hang with Jackson. I would love to see a home and home set up soon, but I don't think it will happen. The opportunity has been their for years and neither school has jumped on it.
Playing Jackson would be good for the program IMO, even with a loss it would help come playoff time.
I hope that Logan stays on the schedule, I love the game and the gates are huge for both schools.

The one game I want to see on our schedule is Wheelersburg. I'm not sure it will happen but one can hope.

If NY needs a Week 3 game next year, the Buckeyes should check with the SEOAL schools. Starting next season, the SEOAL is down to 4 teams ---- Logan, Jackson, Gallia and Warren. That means each of those teams has to fill 7 nonleague games. With Logan already on the schedule, it might be worth checking to see if Jackson, Gallia or Warren have an opening in Week 3. All are historic rivals for NY, so it would make sense to play any of those three.

I believe next year week 3, 4 and 5 may be open for the Ironmen. We play West Jefferson in week 3 at home (last year there) and I believe it was a home and home arrangement. This year we play Bishop Ready at home week 4 and I believe it is just a one year gig. Week 5 this year is Wheelersburg and I believe this is the last year of a 3-year arrangement with them.

Be nice to pick up a school like NY with their tradition and program...good gate no matter where it played both teams travel very well.

The 15th against New Lex at home. I believe 7 or 7:30
The 22nd at Jackson, not sure of the time but I would assume 7 or 7:30.

We looked good last night. The Oline got off to a slow start, but they were really firing off the ball and making some nice holes after a few places. The running game looked really good, the passing game looked good. There were a couple of deep balls that should have been caught but hey, that'll happen.

The defense looked great. I was really impressed with the pursuit and tackling. I cannot talk enough about how well we tackled! Linebackers looked good, Dline looked great (Jay Elliot is a stud)

Defensive backs.......... They did some things well but they still need some work.

It was the first scrimmage, and mistakes were made, but that's what scrimmages are for. Got Jackson next week and that will really give everyone an idea of how NY will fair this year.
