D1 players in southeast Ohio
Joe Burrow (Athens) and Regan Williams (Jackson) both picked up offers from Boston College today ...
Trae Williams (Athens) has two offers from MAC schools ...
Jared McCray (Minford) was a great sign by the Ohio Bobcats this year ...
Josiah Yazdani (Alexander), Grant Venham (Warren), Dylan Leffingwell (Warren) are all on the Bobcats roster ...
And here I thought Paladin said there were NO D1 players in southeast Ohio?

Don't forget Prater (Wellston) at Northwestern and Pendleton (Portsmouth W.) at Michigan St. who both get playing time.

Have it on pretty good source that you can add two Big 10 schools to Mr. Williams selection options.
Re: D1 players in southeast Ohio
And according to the pee wee Hall of Fame coach Paladin, that Athens team didn't have much D1 talent.

Its been fun attending Penn State football games over the last decade, a lot of young men from our area have been on the Beaver Stadium turf, including three former Portsmouth Trojans
Re: D1 players in southeast Ohio
Don't forget Ian Dixon (Athens) and Blake Crow (Meigs) on the Ohio Football team.

Chris Fairchild from Oak Hill (2012) has a couple of starts under his belt on the D-line at Kent State

Yazdani from Alexander probably would have earn the starting spot earlier than last year if not for a knee injury.

People may snicker at this but Chris Fairchild will have a decent shot at playing on Sundays. His rare combination of size speed and power is hard to find anywhere .Warpig wrote:Chris Fairchild from Oak Hill (2012) has a couple of starts under his belt on the D-line at Kent State

I dont see where anyone snickered. My comment meant that I'm surprised he is getting starts so early. He must have came a long way since high school. Good for that young man.Viking96 wrote:People may snicker at this but Chris Fairchild will have a decent shot at playing on Sundays. Oh I didn't mean you , it's just that playing pro football is such a long shot. I really think he has a legit shot. Jackson county has several athletes playing college football , I think it's greatBlue Duck wrote:I dont see where anyone snickered. My comment meant that I'm surprised he is getting starts so early. Max Corcoran (Chillicothe) is on the OU roster as well, as a wide receiver.
Burrow is now drawing interest from Nebraska, Kentucky and Ohio State. He also has offers from Maryland, Cincy, Va. Tech, NC State. Insiders believe he will pick WVU.
Williams has visited MSU, Vandy, Boston College, Penn St., and has offers from Indiana, BC, Purdue, Kent, Kentucky, Marshall, OU and others. Insiders believe he will pick Indiana.

Havent seen Trae Williams mentioned in any Penn State forums, doesn't mean anything of course, was just surprised to see he had visited.....Penn States 2015 class thus far is the number two ranked class according to Rivals
