I would say 8 games. That offense looks scary good.doubleplay643 wrote:What is the over and under on how many of Athens 10 regular season games will have a running clock at some point in the second half?

I don't disagree, and I am not sure if the rule applies to post season but if it does Week 11 could be in trouble as well lol...I am not sure of a team in SE Ohio right now that can hang with them.RAIDER6309 wrote:I would say 8 games. The article I read said Trimble had the ball for 10+ minutes in first half and Athens still puts up 35? Seriously how is that even possible, lol? Wow

I had Joe Burrow 10-for-10 passing, 155 yards, 2 td passes. He adds 58 yards rushing and two more TDs. Mid-season form.

I don't give a rat's ass if he completes 2 or 30 passes versus Steuby - so long as Athens wins.

i think we would both agree athens would have a better chance of winning with 30 completions versus 2

Re: Athens Bulldogs 2014
From Troy Bolin on Facebook:
"After 4 games Athens quarterback Joe Burrow is 53-of-70 passing for 1,199 yards and 19 touchdowns. The record for passing touchdowns in a season was set by Ben Mauk (Kenton) with 76 back in 2002. Depending on how far Athens goes in the playoffs (more games) Burrow could realistically be close to No. 12 on the list, Ben Roethlisberger, who passed for 54 touchdowns for Findlay in 1999"
I am not real good at math, but I think that is about 76% completion rate, close to 23 yards per completion, and 4.75 TDs per game - the majority of this in the first half of play only.

The TVC web site stats are from the Athens Messenger - who gets help from coach Stewart - I'm pretty sure they are accurate.

Trae Williams is on a pace to put his name in the record books also http://www.maxpreps.com/athlete/trae-wi ... -stats.htmtheplainsbulldog wrote:From Troy Bolin on Facebook:

Re: Athens Bulldogs 2014
I question the validity of these stats when you look that as a sophomore his longest rush was for 103 yards. Pretty sure that is statistically and by rule an impossibility in American Football. :12223

Yes it is a wrong . But if you look at the rushing yardsPol Pot wrote:I question the validity of these stats when you look that as a sophomore his longest rush was for 103 yards. Pretty sure that is statistically and by rule an impossibility in American Football. :12223
There right it was a misprint on longest run in that game. Trae had 103 yds. Rushing in the Alex. game. The 103 was put in the longest run column by mistake

In my professional opinion I think Athens will be done after they lose their first game during the playoffs.93Bulldog wrote:If I was a professional, I would be hanging out in Vegas driving a Ferrari.seoconstruction wrote:To all you professionals , how far does Athens make it?
