Seeing the CEO is from Minford, my guess it would be "DESCO " field. Minford Phone Company already has the scoreboard, so the other big corporate sponsor for Minford athletics is the credit union.

My guess, this turf idea is probably for the 2015 or 2016 season.

How did Minford look in their scrimmage?

Minford can surprise some people this year if they stay committed to what the new OC was doing. I know it was only the first scrimmage, but really liked what I saw. BTW, in the last handful of years, ZT has never been elite, but have not been too shabby either.

Who is the new coordinator, and what looks were the Falcons giving?

Whomever the OC is, I hope we find one style and stick with it.

What was the last year Minford won a SOC title?

New OC is Mike McRoberts. Judging from the Zane Trace scrimmage looks like it will be about 70 30. Same type of offense with a few wrinkles here and there. Justice is running the ball extremely well and we have some good height at the receiver positions. Joyce made some pretty good throws but his strength will be extending the play with his feet. Defense did ok but it was the first scrimmage they will get better with playing more. Looks to be another solid year for Minford with the potential to surprise a team or two.

From what I am hearing, that is a very accurate summary.

It sounds like the line, outside of Madden, will be the test. Hopefully they will have a solid unit with a little depth up front where the games are won or lost.

They sound like they are as good as in years past at skill positions, maybe even better. Joyce should be a dynamic player and Justice should have a very good year. 2 solid fb's in the mix is a big plus. Just need a solid line to let those guys get loose.

As far as the new OC, I think Mike will do a fine job. Is see him being balanced on offense but will more than likely lean on the ground and pound running game.

Sorry. I haven't been on here since my last post, but yes, Coach McRoberts is back and is the new OC. I hope he keeps up this kind of playcalling, because it will only help us when we play the better teams on this year's schedule. Once again, the talent is there to be explosive on offense this year. Let's put it all to use. As usual, Coach Matiz has the defense where it should be.

Did Falcons do well in scrimmage against Fairland?

I heard Minford led 21-0 at the half then scored another td in the second half and played the freshman in the latter part of the game and gave up a td to Fairland.
Reports said Minford dominated both sides of the ball in the first half. Wish I could have been there.
