if a passing team meets a running team in late nov/early dec in olhio there is an obvious HUGE advantage for the running team , throw in the bad luck of wind and the pendulum swings even further .

In 1993 my Alma mater , Samford U , played Youngstownm st in the natl championship game, we were a spread team from Al , we stood no chance in No. Ohio in Dec . .. it snowed that day . heck alot of guys on that team had never even seen snow before , let alone perform in it .

Miller with the onside recovery! Don't count them out yet! Boy that kid does a little bit of everything for Burg. Great kid to have on your team. Kid was deep pass threat all season and has a great set of hands!

Hartley to my knowledge has no turnovers and Burg has I believe at least 3. Not a winning recipe against one of the best teams in Ohio. If I am off on those my bad I started watching Baylor and forgot to turn it back on until the 4th quarter had started.By the way Baylor is down 7-0 and being whooped right now so lets hope that continues. :122245

wow I don't agree with the onside kick by Hartley with a 22 point lead and I know Burg in normal weather is explosive but not these conditions.

Yea they are! I would say they were the best tandem in the SOC 2 this season. Will be a very big loss for Burg, you don't replace a tandem like that. Who will step in at QB next year for burg? Mays?

The silver lining in both Valley and Burg is this, it is very possible they were beat by 2 teams who will win the State Championship.

I believe as things stand right now that that would be the direction they would take. mays is a solid athlete as well with a good "head" on his shoulders.

WOW! Burg defense looked solid all season, I can't believe they haven't had at least one stop on D! Really wanted to see Burg advance and make a deep run. Have to hand it to the boys this year though, they were a lot of fun to watch and had a great season. This loss will hurt for awhile, but there is no reason for them to hang their head. They had a great season and really gave their fans something to be proud of, really they gave the entire conference something to be proud of. Time to move on to the basketball season and see what they can do there.
