I honestly look for Valley to play with 2 safeties on defense like they did against Portsmouth...I also think they need to start using rolfe on defense more (corner?) That kid is a playmaker and pretty good in coverage

I noticed they have put the fence on the top of the press box to allow people to be in the "perch" now. I heard that Time Warner will be covering this game.

If that is true, it is great. But that would be back to back weeks for Time Warner and the 3rd time in 6 weeks for them to cover the Burg. I wouldn't complain at all, but that would be a tad strange.

My boss, who lives in newbury, OH, up around Canton told me he was flipping through his sports channels and he found the Burg-Minford game on there. He has TMW and found it odd that they were showing that game up North. It's about time Southern Ohio is getting some exposure up North.



Jesco, as far as the matchup last year with Dylan Miller, that is what ticked everyone in the stands from the Burg off last year. Burg had a huge mismatch with whoever was covering Miller and they threw to him 3 times. One he caught. One he dropped and one was over thrown. I believe the player covering him was giving up about 4-6 inches in height and Burg never exploited it and it wasn't like Eddie didn't have time to throw. They proved that on that last drive as they drove it right down the field on 5-6 passing and only needed about 20 more yards to try and FG.


I figured this thread would turn to all of the nonsense. Still can't wait until game time.

With Time Warner, it is hard to get any watchable game unless Minford, Burg, or Valley are playing each other...no offense but Waverly and NW games are not too watchable. I am sure when Valley/Minford play week 10 that is where they will be...Friday night's game would even be a good one for Fox Sports Ohio...would love to see any local teams ger state wide coverage.

It is strange because Time Warner covers like 6 games a week and that is statewide. I just can't see them coming to Scioto County on back to back weeks.

This game isn't listed anywhere on their lists of games for the week. Looks like they are covering Scioto @ Bradley, Hartley @ Withrow, Elyria @ Stow, and Willoughby South @ Painesville Riverside. The Saturday games look like Moeller @ St. Eds and St. X @ Iggy.

If The Burg has speed, it's news to me. They have a few fast guys, I guess. Burg hangs their hat on efficiency. Their receivers make crisp cuts and the ball is in the air during the cut. They rarely drop a pass. Miller will make a few bad throws but for the most part they will be right on the money.

I think Austin May has a big game. Kid may be the fastest player on the field. Tough matchup for Valley when u have to cover D. Miller and Claxton, this leaves May who once he gets the ball, could be gone. I hope Burg figures Valley coverage scheme quickly and get May involved. Burg a lot better on offense than last year. Miller3 is a lot more confident and seasoned. Burg D has come along way from week 1. Should be a great game. Valley Oline could be the difference in this game to keep valley in it. Burg will score their points. Can Valley keep up.
