A little history on Belfry Ky. i got all my info off Kentucky football website and by goggling Belfry Ky. football. If my numbers are wrong it is from bad adding.

In the last 10 years Belfry has a record of 119 wins and 22 loses. Over this period of time they have played in the state title game 6 times. Winning 2 state titles and being runner up 4 times. They have been runner up the last 2 years losing in overtime last year 12 to 6. the year before they lost 15 to 14.

They are currently the number ranked team in Kentucky 3a. They would be a division 3 team in the state of Ohio about the size of Jackson or Athens. As a local point of year they beat Johnson central last year. A team that beat Ironton. They have played Ironton in the past looks like the years i could see i think they were 2 and 6 against them in late 90's and early 2000's.

I understand Kentucky football is not Ohio Football and There state Championship is probably like a regional title game or state semi final. I'm not really a max Preps kind of guy but to give you a reference. Athens was 924 on max preps in country and Belfry was 989. So we will be facing a very solid opponent

With the numerous players hurt and out for this game, I am wishfully thinking that we can keep this close . Maybe I'm wrong but Warnimont, ward, miller , Eastman could all be out which will really effect the O. A few others were injured Friday but I think could still play . Hoping for all the boys to get back to healthy play soon

I have watched Belfry for years including this season. I think the Pirates win this by 20 or more. They are fast, decent size and they are that good.

Are you serious? After Belfry they enter league play with four 2-3 teams. With the exception of Portsmouth, I have seen the entire SEOAL play this season and I believe they (Gallia) are the best team in the league.

Nice post on Belfry football 93…. They obviously are a descent team and will present a problem for GAHS… I was wondering if Belfry was in Ohio would they be an elite or just average team??? There playoff record is outstanding but there are only 40 teams in each division, divisions are broke down into 8 regions with 5 teams each, with the top 2 teams in the regions making the playoffs… so making the playoffs isn’t that hard…. This will be a good test for GAHS, even if we loose this game should make us a better team going into the SEOAL schedule. With the injuries and long bus ride this will be a very long day for the blue…. Not sure about the best way to get there, you could go down 23 or 52 and hit 119 to Belfry, also going to Charleston could be the best way but remember leaving at around 4 would put you in Charleston around rush hour. Good luck to the blue and hope all our fans have a safe trip to the game…..

Superblue hit it right. If I go, I'm going down 23 just to miss Charleston rush hour. Not a whole lot of difference.

Hope GAHS doesn't have too many injuries for this game. If the Blue Devils do, it could be a long ride home Friday.
