I'm surprised at this, but Ports. West wanted it more, good job to the Siders. MInford didn't play with any fire in their belly, and West did. Good luck Siders against Valley.

Minford smokes Fairland in Jamboree (I know Fairland had some studs out)
Fairland beats West by a decent margin

Minford smokes Portsmouth
West loses to Portsmouth in a competitive game

This is SUPPOSED to be one of the better Minford teams.
This is a West team that plays hard, but talent wise is much less than many West teams in the past 7-8 years.

This game kills Minford. We have the players. What happened? Lack of focus? Out executed? Bad play calling?
I just don't understand. In D4, we cant lose this game. We must now win out to even have a shot at playoffs.

Keep your head up boys, there is still a ton to play for. Win out and you are conference champs (unless west wins out) and then allow everything else to play out.

Go Falcons!! It is a 10 game season. Your mark on this season is not this loss, but how you react from this loss in the second half of the season!

And to the post about Minford and the playoffs I hope I am wrong but this loss will pretty much end that goal. Even winning out unless something crazy happens to a few teams ahead of you gonna be tough to get in.

Combination of things. West is better than their record. The tough schedule has made them better. West won the line of scrimmage most of the night. And as one that has been very critical of West's coaching in the past I have to say they absolutely outcoached the minford staff. I will never understand having 2 tackles like that and 1. Run half of your plays from a spread formation and 2. Run an offense that most of your plays are horizontal. It doesn't make sense but I'm glad they did it
