FOR A TEAM AS BANGED UP AS THE FIGHTING TIGERS ARE RIGHT NOW, THIS 3 GAME STRETCH WILL BE BRUTALLY PHYSICAL
BUT THAT'S REALLY ACTUALLY NOTHING NEW, AND WE'LL GET THROUGH IT.SOMETIMES YOU'RE THE WINDSHIELD, SOMETIMES YOU'RE THE BUG.WE'LL SEE WHAT HAPPENS.AND THAT'S TAKING NOTHING FROM RACELAND, AND OAK HILL.

ironton's final 5 opponents thus far have a 20-6 record.
of the opponents thus far on ironton's schedule only 2 teams presently have losing records with Amanda clearcreek sitting at 1-4-----------and Portsmouth at 2-3, the same record as the fighting tigers 2-3

Talked to a Tiger Fan today and he said one of Ironton's players quit. It is late in the year to walk away and not finish the year. Does anyone know if this is true or not?

Ironton is banged up and having a rough year but at least they schedule competition. Ironton could schedule 4 OVC teams, and play local teams that they can win easily. When you win it's rewarding and guaranteed playoffs I've seen these schools mentioned as traditional programs go 8-2 and miss the playoffs. I've seen these traditional teams get in the playoffs and get beat easily a lot of times in the first rounds. You can hate Ironton but the success outweighs a season like this. People have short term memories. All schools want to pattern their programs like what Coach Lutz made. Ironton has a chance in these next couple of games. The sp kid should add some speed. Everyone is saying that he was recruited he had to sit 5 games out. Other schools have transfers also that didn't sit 5 games. Ironton needs to give Vass a chance. Ironton will come back and all these people talking won't have anything to say.

everybody needs to just be patient, and realize after everything is said and done these are teenage young'uns that are actually playing the games, they are fighting tigers, struggling or not. they need our praises, and prayers.after decades of domination we are struggling. but our schedule does not bode well for a team in a serious rebuilding phase. but that is what has made fighting tiger football what it is today.and this too shall pass

Thanks that does not help with the remaining games this year.Tiger Lady wrote:True.......Gallipolis Blue Devil wrote:Talked to a Tiger Fan today and he said one of Ironton's players quit. It is late in the year to walk away and not finish the year. Does anyone know if this is true or not?

Almost game time TIGERS!!!!! You have a tall task ahead of you. Just play hard and injury free....... Gotta go with my TIGERS!!!!! TIGERS with the upset!!!!!!!
Re: Week 6 10/4 Johnson Central @ Ironton
What does that say about your program that you are relying on kids from other schools. If he didn't transfer in until the beginning of school he should've had to sit the whole season. He probably was recruited it ain't like it would be the first time Ironton has recruited players.tigerfan98 wrote:Ironton is banged up and having a rough year but at least they schedule competition. Can't wait until Paladino cuts loose tonight! If this transfer would have played all season we may be 5-0... If you are going to speculate on the record with the "transfers" lets speculate including them all!!
Re: Week 6 10/4 Johnson Central @ Ironton
People act as if Ironton has a boatload of cash lying around to pay transfers to come in and play. All this talk is just silly. It's not like other schools haven't had players come in from nearby districts for the sake of playing a sport. Hell, look a Brigham Waginger (sp?) as an example. He started at ISJ, then Ironton, then South Webster....... and never moved a lick.

Name a school in this area that hasn't received a transfer in the last 5 years that played sports.noles_fan wrote:What does that say about your program that you are relying on kids from other schools.
