Week 5: Clev. Villa Angela (4-0) vs Notre Dame (4-0)
Two undefeated teams coming into this contest on Saturday at the historic Spartan Stadium, should be a good one. Not really sure of the quality of the teams Villa has played but you cant really judge on last years contest because of how muddy and awful the conditions were. I know they have a running back, back this year that didn't play because of injury last year, and is supposedly one of the better players. Thoughts/Predictions?

I think C.S.J. will come out and play great and win going away.
Plus they have something to prove after the 8 points loss last year.
C.S.J by 24.

I cant see villa winning this by 3 plus scores .. ND is better than last year . They beat them up there last year . With all the blowouts I'd like to see a nailbiter . Going ND's way of course .

Yes I agree they won't be ND by 24 maybe not even 10 if they could. I dont see ND being as better as last season though, I just feel as if competition is down a bit compared to last year. Titans were more versatile last season with Lewis, and Mader. This season everyone knows theyre going to run because they have a young QB who is still learning the ropes. Hopefully Villa doesnt scheme up something or is good enough to completely shut the run down, because when that happens itll be a long day for ND.

Good luck to the Titans this week, hope I can make it to the game. Hit em hard and make em fumble. I always did like Father Pat.

IMO ND's running attack looks far stronger this year compared to last .. as far as the lack of the passing game it might have made the O better .. we no longer waste downs trying to do something that was largely unsuccessful . just an opinion.TitanPride wrote:Yes I agree they won't be ND by 24 maybe not even 10 if they could. Re: Week 5: Clev. Villa Angela (4-0) vs Notre Dame (4-0)
Very true alot of downs were wasted trying to throw the ball, but ND never really has had an amazing passing game mostly because of the line, not saying theyre bad just the fact our line has never been huge and can just push people around. If ND does pass it is usually rollouts or quick three step drops. I still dont think overall this team is more talented than last year, but still a very solid team that could possibly bring a home playoff game to ND for the first time since 2000, and only the second playoff birth since then as well.

Yes they did I just worded that wrong, I wasn't including the 2000 season. Rough game that was against Covington, and here they are again in our region. Top couple teams are very very strong in this region.

Boy, The hometown prognosticators in the PDT were overwhelming picking against the home team this week . Kinda Strange , both teams 4-0 , ND beat them last season, ND is improved over last year , But 6 of the 7 pickers pick VASJ . Big Big game for the Titans . hittem ' hard , makem fumble .

Yeah I really don't understand this at all. I understand that it is just a pick, but you would think that the PDT would choose ND no matter the situation considering this team is all the way from Cleveland. This isn't the first time PDT has let us down though and surely won't be the last.Boy, The hometown prognosticators in the PDT were overwhelming picking against the home team this week . Re: Week 5: Clev. Villa Angela (4-0) vs Notre Dame (4-0)
The Vikings was driving for another score but turned the ball over.
From there Notre Dame drove to the two where they faced a 4th and one, where they picked up the first down, with a little over three minutes left in the third.
P.N.D. would score on the 18th play of the drive to close the gap to,21-6.
The point after by # 5 made the score 21-7, with 2:59 left in the third.

The Vikings wasted little time responding to the P.N.D. score.
They needed sixplays I think it was to hit pay dirt again.
Late third
28-7

The Vikings get a pick in the end zone on a 4th and 10th play and then one play later theey go 80-yards for another score, 34-7, with a little over 7 minutes left in this one-sided affair.

41-7 now.
Guess my 24 point win was a shot into the face of C.S.J.
