Ironton's Defense is getting worse instead of better. Giving up to many big plays and QB is talented as they come but forces to many balls.

Ironton's Defense is horrible ball control is non-existent.
3 interceptions should never happen but giving up a 4th and 5 first down shouldn't either.
Players play to far off the line allowing receivers time to gather speed and get behind the defense.
QB thinks he needs to make plays to help the team and it hurts him and the team.
Young team or not they should be improving not getting worse and that is what is happening.

Great sportsmanship from the team bus of Portsmouth. Yelling and screaming flipping old people off and cursing. Very classy!!!!!! Poor sportsmanship period. As far as the game that was terrible. We are covered up with injuries already, WHY leave in your starting line up in when we are down with not a chance. We cannot even get a play in with that much time on the clock. Something has to give!!!!

Nothing remotely like this has ever happened at Ironton to play this bad.

Coaching and game planing makes a difference and it showed tonight.
Ironton had chances to score first and chances to put the game away.
But playing so far off the line and allowing big play after play killed this team.
And going away from what is working is worse.
To many mistakes on simple plays 2 fumbles back to back after a turn over by Portsmouth on the kickoff and get's nothing.
This team needs a leader this team needs a Identity say what you will this is a game Ironton should not have lost period!!!!!!!!

Now that may be true. Observer you took your post down. It said there is gonna be a new old coach in town. That is why I said now that may be true. That was not anywhere close to an Ironton team tonight.

I am not a coach but with ironton trailing 20-13 with 626 left in 3rd quarter and a option play is called to pick up 6 yds I just don't see that being the call !! and the Portsmouth coach going for 2 when up 13 made no sense either!!

how many turnovers did we end up having 4-5 ??

with these formations they r using I can sit in stands and tell u if its gonna be a run or pass now if I can see that I can just imagine what other team is seeing .

gotta keep a defense off balance and not knowing if its run / pass .

I just hope no one gets hurt in these next 3 games with these powerhouse schools!!

WOW!! Congrats Trojans!!!! This could be the win to help fuel the turnaround, especially against your archrival.

Sky Oliver did a fantastic job for his 1st career varsity start at QB. Couldn't ask for a better performance, executed the offense well and had outstanding accuracy with his throws. The WRs also did a nice job tonight--made some great catches and gained extra yardage after the 1st hit.

Johnnie Charles is an animal. Period. He flat out brought it tonight. He carried Irontons team on his back more than a few times tonight, it seemed like--very strong kid.

The Trojan D came ready to play tonight. Great job by them. They actually scored the 1st points of the game tonight with a pick 6 by Zach DeLotell.

But the best moment of tonight came after the final horn. The winner of the game was presented with the Tom Grashel Memorial Award. His son Alex, senior capt. for the Trojans, received the award on the field along with his mom and sister after the game. Great, emotional moment.
