WK 4: Fort Frye (3-0) @ Conotton Valley (1-2)
CV only win was over a potential (0-10) Bellaire St John 12-6. It might another night like vs Waterford where it's get in there win and Keep Chandler healthy for WK 5.

Let me Know when fort frye decides to actually play a real football team. their schedule is an absolute joke

FORT FRYE
08/30 (H) River
09/06 (A) Belpre
09/13 (A) Waterford
09/20 (A) Contoon Valley
09/27 (A) Monroe Central
10/04 (A) Frontier
10/11 (H) Buckeye Trail
10/18 (H) Caldwell
10/25 (A) Shenandoah
11/01 (H) Bishop Rosecrans
there out of conference games are a complete joke. Waterford, CV, Bishop Rosecrans and that will hurt them when it comes playoff time.
Re: WK 4: Fort Frye (3-0) @ Conotton Valley (1-2)
Waterford is Fort Frye's closest rival and Rosecrans was a playoff team when the schedule was made. We do seem to be having some trouble finding a quality week 4 opponent.

Re: WK 4: Fort Frye (3-0) @ Conotton Valley (1-2)
It is a good compliment though. Fort Frye's program has advanced from level 1 to high school football level 5 on the "opposing fan comment scale."
level 1 - "you guys are terrible."
level 2 - "they're young."
level 3 - "good players, but need a new coach."
level 4 - "one-man team"
level 5 - "they don't play anybody."
level 6 - "solid program"
level 7 - "they recruit their players."
So, The Cadets have definitely made progress. Congratulations to Coach Huck, the coaching staff, and the players for advancing so far so fast. Fan comments really show how much your hard work is paying off.

to be honest most pvc teams have pretty easy non conference games...there are a couple tough ones with shady n bishop d...but other than that fort isn't the only team with a shot for easy wins

Agreed. Pretty much every team has a few games on the schedule they circle as wins. Although I do also believe Fort Frye has done well enough lately to start toughening up the schedule a bit. I'd keep Belpre on there, they may have some solid years, and Waterford will always be on the schedule. Hopefully they can replace CV and Rosecrans with some tougher competition to get them ready for games against teams like MC and anyone they may face in the playoffs.

Taryn Huck looked a lot better last night when he was in there at QB. Anyway anyone see Chandlers rushing stats vs Waterford? 6 carries 86 yards 4 TDs I'm sure he could of had 7-8 TDs if Coach Huck wanted to run it up. I also loved the way he sprinkled in the JV with some varsity players which helps those kids get better.

Great pick-up for Fort Frye to get a win. Most teams look for wins in non-conference games but driving to Conotton Valley is the extreme .

I would much rather play a Williamstown, Federal Hocking, Warren, or Barnesville.

So is playing a cream puff week 4 before Woodsfield a good or bad thing? Last yr in week 4 they got throttled by Madonna then played great week 5.
Re: WK 4: Fort Frye (3-0) @ Conotton Valley (1-2)
Be a good time to play a lot of the younger players. CV just doesn't have the bodies this season. The Rockets weren't too bad last year.
This one's a 7-TD difference.

Re: WK 4: Fort Frye (3-0) @ Conotton Valley (1-2)
Yea I say keep Chan healthy keep his run attempts down and maybe work on the pass game. Then get Taryn snaps.
Re: WK 4: Fort Frye (3-0) @ Conotton Valley (1-2)
Couldn't agree more. Cadets need all the healthy bodies for the MC game. It could be another playoff season if the Fort can avoid the temptation to pad some stats with certain players. The PVC is down so FF needs to be smart and reach a week 11.

Fort Frye has nice parts but lets be honest without Chan they are a 5-5 ball club.

Re: WK 4: Fort Frye (3-0) @ Conotton Valley (1-2)
Ok I was at this game until 3 mins left in 2nd. Game started out with fumble by CV. FF 1st play was a TD run by Lang. Con Valley 1st offensive play was an interception by Huck. FF 2nd offensive play was a TD Catch by Cj Huck. 14-0 2 mins into the game. Con Valley gets a 1st down but then drive stalls. Then Lang runs punt back 21-0 1st qt. Fort Frye then gets another TD run by Lang and Shuster and it was 35-0 zip when we left because it was miserable. Con Valley was really bad and played 3 QBs in 1st qt.
Re: WK 4: Fort Frye (3-0) @ Conotton Valley (1-2)
I got curious and saw that this Conotton Valley team returned 10 lettermen and a head coach from a team that went 5-5 last year. If I was making the schedule, that would look like a solid pickup to me.
