Not much being said of the importance of this game for GAHS. IMO Gallia needs this game to have any reasonable chance of making the play-offs. We play 4 teams that were 1-9 last year and two teams that were 2-8 and 4-6… The only team with a winning record besides Athens on our schedule is an 8-2 Belfry, Kentucky team… Going 8-2 or 7-3 with this years schedule and not beating Athens could keep us at home for week 11…. And we would have no one to blame but ourselves….

Some of those teams will be markedly better, Portsmouth comes to mind.

I'll be making my way to Gallipolis to watch this game for the third year in a row. The 2011 game was a great defensive battle. Last year was a shootout. I'm expecting plenty of points again this time.
