Seating on one side only
Does any schools in the area have all of their seating on one side?
Which schools, if any?

NCF, I couldn't remember for sure, it has been well over 30 years since I've been to "The home of the Big Red". :122245

I thought they took them out, but wasn't sure. Were they in that bad of shape? Any plans on new bleachers going up?Mister B wrote:Sadly, Belpre has the past 3 years.

It has been a while, but Bellaire had seating on both sides when I was there. I think it was 1995.Steely Dan wrote:Let's see.

To the best of my recollection (some of these were quite a few years ago, so I could be wrong)...
Miami Trace
Belfry (KY) at their old stadium.
Campbell County (KY)
Ironton had an away game vs. Cincy McNicholas at a site that had one side, but I'm not sure whose stadium it was.

Parkersburg High school will starting in 2013,
Do to rebuilding bleachers that will not be fiinshed before 2014.
Already moved their 1st game in 2013 from Parkersburg to Warrren Local to allow a extra 2 weeks to get home side finshed.

Re: Seating on one side only
Does anybody remember the Portsmouth-Burg game at Spartan in 2007? It was the biggest game of the year in the area (IMO) between 2 great teams.......a couple days before the game, the away-side bleachers were condemned and deemed unsafe to sit in. Well this game was so packed, that both crowds sitting on the big home-side was not going to be near enough. Right before kick-off, Skip Hickman announced that the Mayor said it was okay to sit on the visiting side....So I guess they were safe for that one night. lol
Just a funny side-story to one of the greatest football games I've ever watched.

didnt the old field at jackson only have seating on one side? seemed like on the other side the sideline was almost right underneath the press box
Re: Seating on one side only
also think that Allen Central in kentucky has bleachers on one side. Never watched a game there just been by quite a few times.

Re: Seating on one side only
I know at one time (circa 1982?), there was visitors seating on about one half the length of the field (something like from the 50 to one goal line)... but I have some vague recollections that later it maybe was removed, resulting in seating on one side only. And I think you are correct about the press box.UK#1 wrote:didnt the old field at jackson only have seating on one side? seemed like on the other side the sideline was almost right underneath the press box

It's not High School but the College of Wooster only has seating on one side
Re: Seating on one side only
Jackson's new stadium has plenty of seating on both sides now. I always sit with my SEOPS friends on the visitors side for half a game, then go back to Jackson's side for the halftime show and to sit with my family for the rest of the game. :122245
