2015 football divisions
2015 football divisions
I have been reading the OHSAA is looking at leaving the 2015 Division alignments the same as 2014 and 2013. In 2016 is when competitive balance is to be begin so realignment would happen again in 2016. Actually what i have read is that all sports will remain unchanged for 2015-2016 school year and new alignment will take place in 2016-2017. Has anybody heard this also?

Re: 2015 football divisions
Saw that on yappi. Makes sense they would keep everyone the same and then change the next year for the competitive balance
Re: 2015 football divisions
Yes I have heard the same from some local AD's. Seems to make since rather than re-bracket back to back years but it us the ohsaa so who knows.

Re: 2015 football divisions
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think the door is still ajar to potentially have a few shifts up/down given that several schools are closing at the end of the 2014-2015 school year or aren't fielding varsity football teams.

Re: 2015 football divisions
Competitive balance will never happen! Just wait and see. There will be another excuse given after next season and then it will eventually just all go away!
Re: 2015 football divisions
That really doesn't make sense, because with competitive balance teams could potentially change divisions every year based on your previous year's roster.Shoelace wrote:Yes I have heard the same from some local AD's. Re: 2015 football divisions
Didn't the OHSAA used to determine new divisions every year prior to going to every two years?
Re: 2015 football divisions
Just put all private schools in their own division and all problems solved.

Re: 2015 football divisions
As far as I know there will be new divisions like scheduled for 2015-2016.
Re: 2015 football divisions
I do think private schools should play 1 division higher than they are supposed to.
