Re: Portsmouth Trojans 2015
Phoenix31: Alexander was ahead 24-13 when I left........the Trojans struggled defensively, but the offense looked respectable.......QB Cole Lowery hit a long TD pass (about 60 yds.) to Austin Hollins. Zach Delotell looks like a real weapon at TE for PHS, as he had several catches downfield.
It will take time for Coach Duncan to turn our fortunes around.......that's all there is to it and people are going to have to accept that reality.

I heard the game was at the Coliseum. Guess I got some bogus information.

No disrespect to Albany but Portsbmouth shouldn't be losing to them. The Mighty Men of Troy have sadly plummeted deep into a crater.

Athens put 80 some odd points against Albany in recent years. That is ridiculous. Of course, Portsmouth was torched for 68 against Burg a couple years ago. Things have changed

Rome wasn't built in a day, and we lost a lot of talent off last years team who underachieved sadly do to things out side thier controle.
Coach Duncan will have a team that will continue to improve I will guarantee that. Win or lose he and his team will do things the right way.
Does anyone have a starting lineup for us?

Offense did some nice things, defense is not that good. I believe they won
Re: Portsmouth Trojans 2015
OVC Preview (Portsmouth 12-Gallia 7)
Some nice plays by the QB and WR. Defense made some good stops and showed heart, but Special Teams could use some work. Missing those extra points could cost a game this season.

Pretty nice QB, can run and pass the ball, needs some help from the RB's.Henry Jones, Jr. wrote:OVC Preview (Portsmouth 12-Gallia 7)

Re: Portsmouth Trojans 2015
Some clarification is needed please.
Are you talking about Portsmouth or Gallipolis when you are talking about the scrimmage - wobycat, Henry Jones, Jr., and ohbuckeye2?
Thanks.

Talking about Portsmouth, specifically on defense, when Gallia broke a big run and #4 (I think) chased him down and tackled him inside the 5. The defense stiffened, Gallia made a mistake or two, and Portsmouth got the ball back. Then a nice bomb from the QB (Portsmouth) to the WR (he may have pushed off) for a nice catch and run and the final score.

Re: Portsmouth Trojans 2015
liked what we saw from the devils. take away some blown coverages and the devils have lead at halftime. sipple and carter were solid and matt bailey was really good on some outside run plays to widen the defense. need to get some depth on line

Didn't go to the Gallia Academy scrimmage, but glad to hear that the Trojans did better. Anything positive at any time is a good thing for Portsmouth football. GO TROJANS!!
