Re: Week 2: Valley 1-0 @ Coal Grove 0-1
The Grove has about as much chance in this game as a snow ball in you know what.
Re: Week 2: Valley 1-0 @ Coal Grove 0-1
Time of Posession will be the key for Coal Grove. If the Hornets can hold and move the ball (similarly to what an eventual 2-8 Chesapeake team did to an eventual 10-0 Valley a couple of years ago for only a half/2nd half was a different story) then Coal Grove will have a shot.
If Valley has the ball, they will score quickly, so Coal Grove needs to play keep away, mistake free fundamental football.

Is there a radio station that will carry the game for coal grove
Re: Week 2: Valley 1-0 @ Coal Grove 0-1
From what I have been told VSN is the only one in our area that is broadcasting the game...HItops wrote:Is there a radio station that will carry the game for coal grove

Let's not forget two x-factor's Valley may have to encounter in the state semi's to get there. A) Kirtland (again) or B) Marion Localwobycat wrote:Easy there fella. This region is tough this year. They do have a team that can do it.D-5 wrote:I think Valley will play in the Division six title game

They can hang with kirtland but Marion local is a whole different level a trip to Columbus would require a lot of luck with the brackets

Way too early to be talking brackets and playoff. Need to get past Coal Grove first.

Coal Grove did just this against Pleasants (which ran a system similar to Valley), the only issue was the Grove shot themselves in the foot to many times after moving the ball down the field. For Coal Grove this week it has to be win time of possession, no mistakes, and fix the pass defense. They work on these this week and see what happens.

Someone call AEP and make sure there is plenty of juice to the score board this Friday.
Valley will light it up.

Will Romanello's ejection from the soccer game last night have any consequences on the gridiron Friday night?

Seems this same question was brought up last year. I believe the answer is NO. The 2 sports are separate if I am reading the rules right.RollTribe09 wrote:Will Romanello's ejection from the soccer game last night have any consequences on the gridiron Friday night?

I believe he must miss the next competition that he's involved in. This kid needs to drop soccer. Too easy to get in trouble in that game. Grove can score but they couldn't stop a junior high offense. High scoring in this one.

I am pretty sure he will have to miss the next 2 soccer games, but there should be no penalty for football.
Re: Week 2: Valley 1-0 @ Coal Grove 0-1
Romanello will not miss any football, only the next 2 soccer games.

we get dropped by cg and they go pick up another soc power. this is one of the few times i'll say this but go valley
Re: Week 2: Valley 1-0 @ Coal Grove 0-1
Man, I agree...Too presumptuous to even suggest they make the playoffs at this point..A lot of tough games to be played and nothing is given...A couple of key injuries and any team from our area could be on the outside looking in...nutronron2012 wrote:Way too early to be talking brackets and playoff. This will be one of the only times in US history that the Indians won't get forced out West.
Lucasville does it for Tecumseh and wins by 38.

Romanello received two yellow cards, which does not carry a suspension penalty for soccer and obviously not football.
