Isn't Trail suppose to better? That being said I hope Caldwell puts 80 on them go PVC!

Just curious, since I know nothing about the history here, but why would anyone want to see high school student athletes humiliated? I mean, is it so bad that Trail is leaving the conference (I take it that they in fact are)? Did the Trail players vote to leave the conference? I've never understood the mentality of running up the score on someone else, especially if Caldwell is supposed to be that good. What does it prove? If Marion-Local scores 150 on Beallsville on Friday, does that prove anything?EasternDspy wrote:Isn't Trail suppose to better? That being said I hope Caldwell puts 80 on them go PVC!

Great post. It's the actions of adults, not the children.wagner97 wrote:Just curious, since I know nothing about the history here, but why would anyone want to see high school student athletes humiliated? True I just do not understand the reasoning to leave for a league that has farther travel. Also Trail can not compete in that league. Not rooting against the kids rooting against the school.

I think Buckeye Trail will compete in football, it's basketball that will feel the wrath. They would be in the small school division with East Canton, Strasburg, Malvern, Sandy Valley and TCC the two crossover games could prove very difficult though.

So you trade trips to Caldwell for trips to Canton....

I feel sorry for the Warrior kids - I mean, how do you get up for a game vs. a team you have no history with, no borders, no year-in-year-out rivalry. Have they even played any of these teams non-league? Call me a traditionalist, but i just hate the board's disregard for regional tradition. Those trips to Malvern are gonna get real old, real fast - for the kids and the parents who might want to go watch their kids play. On the flip side, imagine a kid from East Canton saying "who is this Buckeye Trail" and the dread of a Tuesday night bus ride to rural Guernsey County for a volleyball or basketball game. I give it five years tops.
It's like a break-up. We got dumped for a prettier girl. Until they realize she's not prettier after all.
