The only way this is true is if the ovc wants jackson as well. Then the ovc will either split into two divisions or disband like the SEOAL. I really could see ironton and gallia academy pushing for this. But its hard to believe minford would consider it. I do not think sp, ches, fairland would be happy with this setup below. They were really pushing for a stronger conference and then it will get reversed back to the old ovc.

I tend to agree with you if Waverly does not jump to the Scioto Valley Conference, If that happens, football scheduling in the SOC2 becomes problematic with just four teams (i.e. SEOAL). That might force a merger between the SOC2 and the OVC to resolve scheduling issues. Of course Waverly has been rumored to be looking at the SVC for several years and there has been no truth to the rumors. Jackson's place in southern Ohio football is the $64 question.

The OVC did what the SOC should've done and that's add Portsmouth and Ironton. I won't get into my old complaining I've done for years about the SOC and OVC. There is no reason there should be 2 conferences. They should've combined both a long time ago. This should've been fixed years ago with a 15 or 17 team conference with 3 divisions. It would be amazing. And would've given AD's flexibility to schedule anyone in Southern Ohio and keep everything competitive. But anyway, I think it's funny to put a post on here "taking a shot" at Minford who won the SOC in Basketball last year. And besides Valley, has dominated basketball conference play for about 5 years now. They aren't going anywhere.
But The SOC would've been smart to have combined with the OVC years ago.... SMH....
