A week later, the 6-foot-6, 170-pound Holden — who Ohio State was aware of before Shelley Meyer’s unexpected evaluation — was making his first ever visit to a college as a football recruit. He’s also a recruited basketball player for the Pirates.

“It was amazing to have my first visit for football be at the Ohio State University,” he said.

Ohio University has offered Holden, but he’s now officially on the Buckeyes radar as a player to watch in the Class of 2019.

Be cool if he got offers in two sports. Burrow was actually getting D1 looks at basketball first before football

He could go d1 on 2 sports. May have to be a smaller school. The thing is can he go major d1 in football would he choose that over mid level basketball?

I think when it's all said and done, Holden will have his pick of just about anywhere to play either sport. He has the body to build on and he's a good athlete. Most of all he is humble and very coachable! Spectacular young man and I wish him the best in all he does!

In football he will have his pick as a WR at a big d1 school but not both if you say otherwise look up blue smith from huber heights ohio he is a beast at both sports but the big colleges wanted him to pick 1 sport

That is the number one reason Southern Ohio gets no respect because we can't even support each other. The young man has the potential to go big time and you make a statement like that.

Well, you know what, if I was him I WOULD be THUMPING the HELL out my chest because when was the last time a Scioto county player was on the radar of a big time school??? Probably Pendleton and Michigan St. I bet he thumped his chest as well!!!!

I think east had a kid recruited and went to Ohio state and another kid now that has big time offers that included duke Florida St. MichigAN state Among others,and is now committed to west Virginia those was after pendlton.

But I honestly thing football is holders best sport, he is built for wide receiver and has the height ,in basketball kids his size are a dime a dozen in d1 college.
