To the best of my abilities, Belpre leads this series 9-4. It started in 2002 even though Eastern joined the TVC in 1993. Back then, Eastern was in the Hocking and Belpre in the Ohio. When the TVC expanded again, Belpre and Eastern started playing each other due to the travel distance constraints in trying to find a close, non-conference game for each team. The meetings from 2002-2007 did not count towards either schools TVC record. I am not aware of any prior meetings between these 2 schools before the 2002 season.

2002 - Belpre 43-27
2003 - Belpre 28-22
2004 - Eastern 20-0
2005 - Belpre 55-14
2006 - Belpre 42-6
2007 - Belpre 30-13

The teams did not play each other in 2008 or 2009 due to the fact that Athens joined the Ohio and Belpre had to drop Eastern to add Athens as a conference game.

The series resumed in 2010 when Belpre left the Ohio and joined the Hocking.

2010 - Eastern 41-0
2011 - Eastern 20-0
2012 - Eastern 48-20
2013 - Belpre 35-6
2014 - Belpre 63-8
2015 - Belpre 46-6
2016 - Belpre 25-20

Based on common opponents, I would think that Belpre can win this game but I do believe that it is a toss up. I also feel that this is Belpre's last chance to get their 4th win of the year as they end the season vs Waterford and beating the Wildcats will be very tough.

They may have. I only list the results that I could find and verify thru yearbooks, newspaper results etc. Its a long, drawn out process that never seems to end. Lol.

They dressed 21 last Friday vs Valley. I believe Valley dressed 42.

Really, it should be a good game. Both teams are pretty even.

Always enjoy watching a game at Eastern standing on their hillside bleachers. Great view.

Looks like a great night to take in a high school game.
