Week 10 tale of the tape
The Nelsonville-York Buckeyes enter the season finale with a (9-0) mark and (5-0) record in league play. The offense averages 36.0 points per game and the Buckeyes have scored 30 or more points six out of the nine weeks. Athens (8-1),(5-0 TVC-Ohio) averages around 28 points per game, but have only topped the 30 mark three times all year. The Bulldogs have uncharacteristically relied on their defense for much of the season allowing just 9.8 points per outing, including holding five opponents to a touchdown or less. Nelsonville-York has been solid as well giving up just 11.9 points per game

Only difference between these 2
Athens found a way to lose..
Ny finds ways to win...

Re: WK 10 TVC Ohio Championship NY (9-0) at Athens (8-1)
looks like NY has the best average on all but a couple stats you can take here. Go through these and you can come up with able 13/14 different stats and NY has 12 that is better than The Plains. One big stat that isn't here is NYs QB is the better runner. NY only has to watch out for the pass from their QB but Athens needs to watch the run and pass.93Bulldog wrote: ↑Tue Oct 24, 2017 4:23 pm Week 10 tale of the tape

Re: WK 10 TVC Ohio Championship NY (9-0) at Athens (8-1)
Keegan Wilburn has been absolutely awesome as a receiver as well this year.
He will line up at receiver and will come out of the backfield as well.
The thing I like about the Buckeyes is that we have several guys who can catch and Maiden doesn't mind spreading it around. If you're open, he will throw it to you.
Containing Maiden in the pocket is a tough tough job. The young man can run and likes doing it.
Keegan can outrun anyone on Athens defense and Colt can run them over.
I am very confident that our DB's will stop Athens receivers from breaking off big plays.
The line matchups should be interesting. I think that may be the most interesting aspect about this game.
Both lines have done a good job this year.
It will be fun to watch that battle.

Albin is very good getting yardage after the catch plus he can go after balls that aren't to him. Davis doesn't have to throw to Albin just near him. NY cannot let him get past them either if he does and he gets the ball he is gone for the TD. NY will also have a chance to get big yardage on the kick offs. Athens kicker can kick to the goal line but they don't seem to get down quick and this could allow big return yardage. Davis is not the best runner either, so if NY can get the rush on the pass they could very well get several sacks.
good luck to both teams

Re: WK 10 TVC Ohio Championship NY (9-0) at Athens (8-1)
Yes we've heard how NY is going to win out and run through the region for several weeks now. And we've seen the insults to people from other teams and a certain poster has had TVC champs as his signature all year. So NY better win or there will be a lot of posters that will be banned by that guy for lashing back at him I'm sure. No need to worry about that though cause NY should win by a large margin. Athens doesn't have the speed to hang with NY and Athens' QB is like a statue back there, so when NY smothers the two receivers he'll go down early and often IMO.Nuke LaLoosh wrote: ↑Tue Oct 24, 2017 2:53 pmThis dude gonna talk like this and then Friday night try to chum it up with folks in the Athens press box and partake of the food... It must be hard losing to a D6 school. I bet it's even harder going 8-2 and sitting home week 11.
Maybe OU will get some new coaches with kids soon.
No need to be that way, man.
Re: WK 10 TVC Ohio Championship NY (9-0) at Athens (8-1)
NY should take this one the VC game was a wake up call they will be ready.
I think their speed and mobile QB will be the difference.
NY by 12 points
