I,ve watched Belpre over the last few years and wonder why they keep current staff. The "brothers" in charge ran off kids in the pee wee program and now there wasn't enough kids come out to even have a junior high team. And only 21 dressing in the high school. Sad. Just because they helped raise the money for the lights and new gym floor the board keeps hiring them. from what I've seen and heard the HC is in very good health and the OC is only there for his son. When is enough enough? People on here say they are a small school now they Are bigger that won Trimble and they have a Jv and freshman team.

I'm glad I moved out there and my kids don't have to go thought the fiasco.

no jet sweeps against any QUALITY opponents . But we will try and wonder why we cant pass when its consistently 3rd and long. Just like southern and Miller games.

HA!!!! That is actually funny. But my argument, Belpre is practicing in the smog. Waterford is going there. Belpre will be semi-used to the smog. Waterford will NOT. I believe it is an advantage for Belpre.

Since Belpre moved to the Hocking in 2010, they lead this series 4-3. Neither team has defeated the other team when the loser had a winning record.

Going back into the records, I have found that these 2 teams also played in 2000 with Belpre winning 23-6. There may be another game or 2 prior to this but I haven't researched back far enough to find results yet. So, the overall series stands, at least at this point, Belpre leading 5-3.

The Waterford win last year of 68-0 was, to the best of my ability, the worst defeat in Belpre's history. It was the most points given up in a game by Belpre and the largest point differential in a loss. The prior worst shutout that I know of was Belpre's 56-0 loss vs Chauncey in 1950, which was Belpre inaugural season of football and our 3rd ever game.

I figure this year's game will again see Waterford easily handling Belpre. I would look for both Waterford's QB and RB to set new school records for a single season. Since this will be another running clock game for the Wildcats, their 3rd in the last 4 games I believe and they need some first string playing time going into the playoffs, I would expect them to play their starters thru the first half and possibly the first series of the second half.

I hope the boys in Orange and Black prove me wrong, especially on Senior Night.

To the Belpre seniors playing in their last football game, thank you for you dedication and hard work throughout the years. I wish you the best going forward. Give your best this Friday.
