Yes, a win and it looks like the Tigers are in the playoffs and most likely traveling to Valley View. Not sure if a win against West would have had the Tigers hosting the first game or not but I'd sure like to have seen if it would. "Settling" for "making the playoffs" is not good enough and should never be the mindset. Waverly has to get to the point where they are consistently "competing" with the Nelsonville's and Wheelersburg's. Waverly did play right with Wheelersburg last year and felt they let one slip away. 9-1 was good enough to host the first round game but Waverly soon found out what D4 playoff football is all about.Logan_Buckeye wrote: ↑Sat Oct 21, 2017 11:48 am A win and Waverly is in.., Unfortunately, they will be traveling to Germantown Valley View.. Having said that, all THESE Tigers can do is go out Friday night and take care of business against River Valley and not look ahead to "are we in" and "who do we play". THESE Tigers worked through several injuries that impacted the defense more than anything and while 7-3 may be disappointing there's nothing that can be done about it now other than making sure it is 7-3.
Re: WK10 River Valley @ (6-3) Waverly
A win over West thru Week 9 puts Waverly (by my caculations) in 6th place with the no real chance to jump up to the top 4 and be able to host.
That being said, Waverly needs to worry about River Valley and get a win. Just go out every week go 1-0 and take it game by game.

Taking Waverly 54-18 in this one.
Attitude, Effort and Hustle
You control that.

Interesting how the regions are broken down. Unioto and Zane Trace are in Region 15 and Waverly is in Region 16.

Yeah it’s very crazy. Really don’t see no reason why Waverly is in that region. Guess they needed one more school and threw a dart at a map.

Re: WK10 River Valley @ (6-3) Waverly
This will be the 2nd week in a row that RV will be without their Senior QB Pat Brown.
It's a shame that the young man's senior season had to end this way. He will end his career at RV with 28 TD passes and close to 3,000 yards passing. All that in 18 games (2 year starter).
This has been a tough season for the Raiders. This will be there first losing season since 2013.
Waverly is a tough opponent but no matter what we will be right there cheering the Raiders on Friday night!

Sorry to hear about the injury. Last year RV gave Waverly a fight until late in the game. I am sure the young men from Bidwell will give their best against the Tiger.RVRaiderFan wrote: ↑Tue Oct 24, 2017 8:50 am This will be the 2nd week in a row that RV will be without their Senior QB Pat Brown.

Waverly has a playoff birth on the line with this game. And a win would mean making the playoffs two straight years and 16 wins over the past two seasons. Something to be very proud of and to build on.
Pretty unusual to get the first cold game of the season on week 10. Should be a good atmosphere and hopefully an enjoyable game. Go Tigers!

Tigers big as long as they don't look ahead. A good win on Senior Night is always a positive and so is playing in Week 11 (and beyond)
The region maps are a real treat to look at sometimes and the Tigers got unlucky with Zane Trace moving up, if not, they would likely be in 15 and have a much better shot in Week 11. But, all you can do is control what you can control.

GO RAIDERS!!!!
GO #7!!!!
Been a transitional year for the Raiders. Young, late season injuries and on the road vs a team needing the win to secure postseason........might be a long night for the Raiders....but I will be there waiting to witness an upset!!!!
Hoping for injury-free in this one.....

Go into the playoffs on a high note Tigers!!! Three losses to three undefeated teams is still respectable. Almost pulled out that win vs West. After you win against RV, BRING IT in that first round playoff game and prove those naysayers wrong. We are rooting for you here in the Burg.
