Round 1 Playoffs DVII , R27 #6 (6-4) River @ #3 Harvest Prep
Re: Round 1 Playoffs DVII , R27 #6 (6-4) River @ #3 Harvest Prep
Lucas didn't appear gassed to me. Lucas was up 21-0 and looking to seal the deal early when the officials took the steam out of them. It all started on the bogus horse collar call, then went on to the illegal jumping over the pile TD and subsequent illegal 2 point conversion. 21-8, Lucas led at the half. Should have been 21-0, Lucas....maybe even 28-0, Lucas if not for that BS, drive saving, horse collar penalty.

As for River in the second half, sure, they played pretty well. The QB threw up two 50/50 balls and the River WR came down with both (one on an obvious offensive PI, I was standing 10 yards from the play). River QB ran the ball well too. Not saying River is a bad team, just saying the officials influenced the final result of that game in the 2nd and 3rd quarters.

You're delusional and that's all I can say. Especially if you said you're standing near the south endzone and complaining about a call made on the opposite 40. Give it a rest. They're both good teams and River played to their potential in the second half on both sides of the ball which was enough for them to win.
Which brings me to my point that if River can play like they did in the 2nd half against Lucas the whole game with Harvest Prep then I wouldn't count them out. They have dynamic athletes at each level on both sides of the ball. Other than Banguera and the Wisconsin commit I'm not overly impressed with their overall talent appear beatable. Reference last year against Shadyside, River put a running clock on them last year and were up 21-0 against them this season before shooting themselves in the foot repeatedly and losing. Shadyside would have beat them if not for the Hail Mary. Also with River playing a constant top 10 toughest schedule this season I think they know what to expect and will not walk on that field wide eyed. I'm picking River even though the rest of the state gives the Pilots ZERO chance.

No hard feelings. We'll have to just agree to disagree. As for HP vs River, I'll be rooting for the Pilots. They better get out of the gates quick. Go Pilots.

Can never pick against the Pilots and I'm not sure HP will respect just how good and athletic some of these kids are so with that said,

You can’t play if you’re 20. This is a nothingburger.

Looking forward to seeing this one.
Hoe to have picks and a game report on it.
I doubt it gets close to 600 looks like the Portsmouth West and Wheelersburg game did last week.

Good win for the pilots! Isaly and the seniors deserved that one. Now let everyone start predicting the pilots gettingbeat my fifty next week. I don't care if it is hopscotch or ping pong I would never bet against Lukas Isaly. Top notch young man. Congratulations pilots.
