If done by distance this would be the place, but this is the ohsaa we are talking about.

Re: RD2 (9-2) East vs. (7-4) River
OK, using some common sense and considering the logistics, what would make the most sense for both schools (if these schools put in to host games):
1. Athens
2. Nelsonville
3. Logan
Now, silly me, we are talking OHSAA, and we've seen them do some pretty strange things in the past (and in all honesty, politics do come into play here), I would not be the least bit surprised to see this game played at Marietta. River has played 2nd round games there before. Hopefully, the game is played in Athens which would be the most even distance for both schools.

With all games on Friday, you can eliminate Nelsonville as a host site as long as their football team is still in playoffs.
Doing the right thing is rarely easy.

River looks like a nice team. QB looks to be a solid runner. Can’t wait to see Tartans flying around on defense popping the pads. Go Blue!
Re: RD2 (9-2) East vs. (7-4) River
River will be too much here. Playmakers on every level with big play capability that is tough to stop. The qb Isaly was the best player on the field last week and his main target Dietz is a man among boys. Runs fantastic routes and is as sure handed as can be. The D is relentless and gives up very little running lanes and generally never gives the opposing qb the opportunity the chance to set their feet and feel comfortable in the pocket.

With all that being said, have you ever watched East play in person?OvGuy wrote: ↑Mon Nov 06, 2017 7:47 am River will be too much here. The Tartans will be the last one standing Friday. Two teams enter.....one team leaves.

SoutheasternOhioPreps makes the Portsmouth Daily Times
Reading through the paper last night and was surprised to see East's coach referencing SEOP. Went as far as to say that he printed off posts to read to his team before the game and during half time.
Re: RD2 (9-2) East vs. (7-4) River
I seen them play against Waterford. East may have a small size advantage in this but offensively I don't see them getting very much going. River sends constant pressure and really swarms to the ball well. At the skill positions I give the advantage to River by a large margin especially on the turf.Blue33 wrote: ↑Mon Nov 06, 2017 6:19 pmWith all that being said, have you ever watched East play in person?OvGuy wrote: ↑Mon Nov 06, 2017 7:47 am River will be too much here.
