Only 1 team has scored 50 plus on Fort Frye in coach Hucks 10 years and that was 2013 playoffs Valley 52 Fort 14

Other than Fort Frye, Monroe Central is the only other PVC team the Buckeyes have ever played and it was just the one playoff game.

Was the last time that Nelsonville played a PVC team the 1st round loss to Monroe Central in 2003? That game was 9-7. Josh Itscy with the Td followed by a missed Nelsonville FG.

Dspy - That is correct. Jay Edwards was their freshman QB. I was there at that game. The NY faithful were treated extremely well and got to enjoy what a FB game is at Monroe Memorial Park, the atmosphere (no spear, not allowed during playoff games), and everyone that I talked to from NY after the game were impressed with the field, and how well they were treated. Even the Power 105 crew ranted about it.

I have been reading posts for a while and finally had to register and respond. I don't know as much about football as most of you, but I do know Fort Frye football.
Underdog has always been the name of the game.
Cadet defense can hold their own. As long as the offense is clicking it will be a great game. Bring on Friday!

I think Pitstopbilly is working his way through the "Pitstops" leftover liquor from when they closed 2/28/17 and Gary couldn't transfer his liquor license to the Busy Day Market in Athens. That's a Hell of a lot of booze to get rid of. Keep up the good work Billy! Either all the booze is going to be gone, or your liver is going to give out. You could call in reinforcements from Vinton County and see if good old Kenny Bixx could come over and give you a hand in wiping out the left over stock. Kenny's renowned for his drinking prowess!!!!

As for this game... could not be prouder of the seniors and what they have become at NY these past 4 years.. great football players... better kids.. awesome watching you from afar.. tomorrow's game should be a great one..
