Second in the country also.
I have to wonder what Criteria they are using. Ronnie Wend is 2nd in the NATION IN TACKLES...I mean the games I have been too his name is Called on almost every defensive play. How does he not get Defensive Player of The Year?!?...Not to take anything away from the Baldwin kid. But Come On now
Just Curious, Where can one look at the stats for tackles of every kid in the state or country? I would like to look at that but not sure how to find it!

Maxpreps, they have a stat leaders page and you can filter a lot of information.

With 12 wins, the Buckeyes have only won more games in their 1981 State Championship Season when they went 13-0. Keep in mind that the playoffs have expanded since that time, so more games are played now. The 1982 State Semifinals team went 11-1. The 1994 Regional Runner-Up team went 11-1. The 1997 Regional Runner-Up team went 11-1. The 1998 Regional Runner-Up team went 9-3.

One thing I have not heard is a little advantage for NY having played at Jackson last year. Every stadium is the same field but different atmosphere. When was last time CG played there. Just curious.

The Buckeyes and Hornets do not share any common opponents. This is the closest common opponent I could come up with: Coal Grove beat Shenandoah 7-6. Fort Frye beat Shenandoah 26-8. NY beat Fort Frye 26-20.

That's not really an advantage.
Its nice and big but having played there isn't an advantage.

Don't rely on Maxpreps for statewide stats leaders. A lot of schools don't report stats on it.

I would have to respectfully disagree. Any chance a team would have as to play on same field more than once would b some advantage. Now I do understand it has been a year but all the seniors have been there before. That being said I don't think location makes a difference in this game. NY 27. CG 18.
And yes it is a big nice stadium.

Yea I am not believing in the "NY will have an advantage because we have played there" - all my son remembers is a nice field on top of a hill :)

Go BUCKEYES!
