I am a big fan of the Riddell Revolution Speed helmets. We had the first generation of these helmets and they were awesome.

I have heard that other helmets are just as good as the Speed such as the Xenith X1 and the Schutt Ion4D.

Most popular I would say is the Riddell SpeedFlex! There are a lot of new schutts out like the Q10, Z10, Vengeance! There is a brand new helmet out called the Nicis Zero 1 which looks cool and is rated 5 star by virginia tech
