Cabell County Schools Professional Salary Schedule is available online. Ohio teacher contracts are available via http://www.serb.ohio.gov/. There is some variation depending on credentials, but a teacher will receive about 8000 to 9000 miore on their base contract in Ohio vs WV. Cabell County pays a flat rate of 4800; Ironton’s contract pays 21 percent of base teacher salary for head football coach. Base salary for Ironton is just overt 33k;this would be about 7k for the coaching.

I’m a visitor from WVTailgate central. Although I understand Salmons might be a good coach what has he really accomplished in WV tha makes him such a hot commodity ? Largest school in WV and hasn’t won a state title. I believe has a .500 record the past couple of seasons.

From what been said about him changing his mind on some other jobs. That can still happen. As well as the Board could change their mind and not verify the minutes at the next Board Meeting. Which would be highly unlikely but would not surprise people.

Hopefully this can work out and help to get the program going in a positive direction. With players, parents and fans together not going in different directions.

I was just told he is not officially hired due to him saying he had to think about it. Seems par for the course. I heard He was all but hired at Perry Central, Ky and he backed out. Same thing at Parkersburg. He also interviewed at Boyd County. I know none of this first hand, but I trust my source.

Well I’m glad they finally made a decision. I was told who his assistants would be. Ironton be ready for a mass exit. They will be lucky to even have a team. But I don’t care. My kid won’t be here for the circus in town.
