I know the Burg jv kicked a last second field goal to beat West last week 10-7.

Re: BURG UNDERCLASSMEN
I would say there could be a freshman or 2 to possibly contribute some next year and the sophomore class have quite a few that will be getting quite a bit of playing time next year.this years sophomores have really started to develop into some good ball players after struggling a bit thru junior high and freshman year for the burg because of being a late blooming class.

Any of those JV Burg kids get any snaps during the varsity games while game still in doubt?

Only 1 or 2 that I can think of have. The reason being when you have 20 player senior class that got a lot of playing time on a state championship team last season and some now juniors that played a lot also.

Re: BURG UNDERCLASSMEN
I'm not too worried about the future. If it weren't for the bad snaps on punts it would have been a better game. We had a freshman running the offense last night. The only question mark is burg is obviously still trying to find next year's qb that's why they brought up a freshman to play in JV games.

I mean it was pretty enjoyable even though the weather was bad. Pretty even game but took care of the ball in the wet conditions and earned the win. Used 3 kids that get in on some meaningful snaps during varsity games along with the 4th string QB who played a great game.fbnut wrote: Tue Sep 18, 2018 7:01 amallamericanironman wrote: Mon Sep 17, 2018 11:01 pm22-7 guess they are all late bloomers or is Jackson that much better?allamericanironman wrote: Mon Sep 17, 2018 10:56 pm THIS JUST IN j.v. Re: BURG UNDERCLASSMEN
Not to worry with the Jackson loss. Still plenty of time to recruit whoever you still may need before they get to varsity.
Re: BURG UNDERCLASSMEN
Exactly. Now please list who’ve they recruited the past 5 years that’s made them so vastly ahead of southern Ohio.Mike wrote: Tue Sep 18, 2018 2:03 pm Not to worry with the Jackson loss. Still plenty of time to recruit whoever you still may need before they get to varsity.

I don’t know if they “recruit” or not , I seriously doubt any Burg coach is openly recruiting . However I think the Burg Brand recruits itself. It’s a sought after place to play sports with the tradition and support. You have to admit that Burg has benefited from a lot of move ins that are also good athletes. However so has Jackson. Not judging , but it’s true for both schools .wobycat wrote: Tue Sep 18, 2018 3:08 pmExactly.
