Nelsonville-York 35 Alexander 11
Both teams are coming off wins and looking to be TVC Champions. Alexander has never won at Boston Field.
This one will be strange seeing coach Dean on the visiting sideline this Friday night.
This is homecoming for the Buckeyes and it is also our Pink out game!
Thoughts?

Coach Dean has the Spartans playing hard. Too bad they don't have more kids playing. Only 24 kids and I think 2 of those out for injuries.
I think Coach Dean is a very good coach he just lacks the numbers. Hopefully he can get more kids out.
Good Luck Spartans, but I think the Bucks take this one.
Coach Dean is a CLASS ACT

You have to go with the power house Buckeyes at home. River valley but up 28 on the Buckeyes and only 6 on a kick off return against Alex. The Spartans are young but Coach Dean has them winning and that’s always contagious. Alexander’s Offense is very predictable and not very good. Defense has carried them. Buckeyes don’t want this to be close at the end. Spartans FG kicker can nail 40 plus yarders. Good luck to both teams and have fun. Oh and NY coach won’t let it get out of hand if that happens.

You do realize that the Buckeyes pulled the starting defense late in the 3rd qtr and 15 points came with the JV defense in against R.V. starting offense.LMH wrote: Mon Oct 08, 2018 11:52 pm You have to go with the power house Buckeyes at home. I do agree that Alex defense has been carrying them the past few weeks. They seem to very improved from what I have heard. Coach Dean has them believing so the Bucks need to jump on them early. My early prediction.

Re: Alexander @ Nelsonville-York (Buckeye Homecoming)
I don't want people to overlook the Spartans. They may not have many kids, but those kids play their butts off for 4 quarters. Those kids have bought in and they will show up ready to play Friday night.
Nelsonville-York cannot take this game lightly. If they do, the Spartans will come out with a W.
The Spartans will play as hard as they can because they know coach Dean really wants this win.
The key for the Buckeyes will be to play disaplined on defense and to make their reads. Alex doesn't have a lot of speed so our Dline has to step up and make plays. If they can, it could be a long night for Alex.
Offensively, the Bucks have to finish drives and eliminate turnovers.
Good Luck coach Dean!! It's going to be so different seeing him on the visiting sideline at Boston Field.
GO BUCKS!
Let's go 1-0 this week men.

Let’s not give Sparty too much credit. They have four wins and those teams are a combined 1-26....Orange and Brown wrote: Tue Oct 09, 2018 1:22 pm I don't want people to overlook the Spartans. I'm not trying to give them more credit than they deserve but we have to be realistic and not overlook them.
We might beat them by 35, we might beat them by 10, but we might take them lightly and lose.

Re: Alexander @ Nelsonville-York (Buckeye Homecoming)
Not sure how the Spartans can win with their normal offensive attack. We have to be unpredictable and think outside of the box. Our normal 12 jet sweeps with two straight smashes up the middle will not get it done against a program like Nelsonville York. Would love to see some of the playbook opened up like we did against Meigs last year.
The defense will have to keep us close like they have the past two weeks. But the offense will have to open it up to score points.
Go Alex.

Re: Alexander @ Nelsonville-York (Buckeye Homecoming)
Not a knock but a little info. Bellaire has an opening next season and AD contacted N Y. N Y declined to schedule. Unfortunate as I like to see different teams on the schedule instead of they same old same old. Hopefully in the future, but I do admit might be a little excessive travel distance.
