Re: Region 19
I think the top 8 stays the same after week 10. But they will be shuffled around. A lot of tough games left for a few of those teams.

Haven’t seen most of these teams but I would assume JM and Ironton would be the two favorites here. Am I wrong?

After beating John Glenn I thought Meadowbrook might be a contender. They seem to have played a tough schedule, they seem to be a wild card.

Ridgewood really surprised me to beat Indian Valley. They are a young team with like 4 seniors next year might be their year.

Re: Region 19
I wouldn’t say right now that Ironton is a favorite. JM is the favorite. If Ironton wins out, they would be #2 in the region with a good shot at taking out JM. AClearcreek could surprise some folks. And Ridgewood will be a tough draw for whoever gets them. They are always well coached and disciplined. This region is wide open for the taking. Whoever is healthy and playing their best ball after week 10 takes it. If Ironton wins out, I’d take them for the region if they are healthy.UrbanFMeyer wrote: ↑Sat Oct 06, 2018 1:55 pm Haven’t seen most of these teams but I would assume JM and Ironton would be the two favorites here. I agree that JM is the favorite to finish 1st in the final ratings. If Bellaire wins out they will finish 2nd.

My region 19 week 8 picks.
JT is the no doubt favorite in the region. But I believe there could be some exciting games come week 11. Meadowbrook has some nice athletes. Ridgewood is extremely young but talented. I was surprised they got beat by garaway last week but might’ve had a letdown after a big win against INdian Valley. Bellaire has a solid defense with a nice offense to go with it.
I don’t know much about clearcreek
Ironton always is solid especially at home week 11.

I’ll take Bellaire.
Shadyside has good QB in Coggins but they lost teams best player in Banco. Hendershot has to step up.
Re: Region 19
I see the region shaping up like this.
1. Johnstown
2. Ironton (even with a loss to Gallia)
3. Ferry (as long as they beat Bellaire week 10)
4. Ridgewood
5. Bellaire.
6. Oak hill.
7. Amanda clearcreek
8. Meadowbrook. If meadowbrook would beat linsly, I could see them sliding up to the five hole.

Re: Region 19
Johnstown and Ironton are definitely the 2 best teams in this region. I would have to give the edge to the Johnies just because they have more depth and playoff experience. Ridgewood and Martin's Ferry are weak don't know much about Bellaire or Amanda C. This year but pretty sure whoever wins the matchup between the Johnies and Tigers wins this region.so good luck to Ironton hope they win it !

Re: Region 19
No shame in that. What a kid in his mid 20s is doing as head coach is amazing. I think even the Ironton fans will admit they are light years ahead of the progression they expected.

Re: Region 19
I wouldn't call it "amazing". Good yes, but this is where they shouldve been the last few years. The turnaround is amplified because it's ironton.

Re: Region 19
A little about bellaire they are mostly a running team they cant throw the ball very well and they have a pretty run defense they cant stop a passing offense that is how St.Clairsville beat them cause they gave up 389 yards passing against the red devils and gave up 215 to Shadyside through the air they are a very young team mostly all juniors so even if they happen to loose in the first round this team will have expirence since they missed the playoffs last year and there final 2 games are home saturday oct 20 12:30 pm against union local and the finally the battle for sparky Oct 26 7pm at Martins Ferry both winnable games since Ferry is decimated with injuries

Re: Region 19
I think it would be more beneficial for Ironton if Ridgewood finishes 4 or 5. That seems to be the only other threat to them in the region. If they can get the OH matchup first round at home and catching Bellaire in the second round, they could win this region. There is a lot of football left to be played. But I’m pulling for Ironton all the way.
