Scioto Valley League Playoffs

Post by EasternDspy »

Will any of the 4 teams win a game in playoffs?

Paint Valley (10-0)
Adena (7-2)
Southeastern (7-3)
Unioto (7-3)

Grandview will be a tough draw for Paint Valley.

Southeastern going to have to travel to Fort Frye or Northmor.

Southeastern (7-3)
Unioto (7-3)
PV only team that gets a win and it'll be within 1-2 scores. Other 3 teams probably get handled pretty easily when you start looking at opposing teams schedule. Not a favorable draw by any of them really, but PV I think has the best and possibly only shot. Hope I'm wrong but just not seeing it on paper for the others.

I think PV got a crap draw but is what it is.
I think Unioto got about the best draw they could.
But, if they had carrol all year they would be playing in frenchtown week11. That’s sports though.

My prediction is PV advances that is it. If Carrol was healthy I think two SVC teams could have been playing Week12.

Unioto’s draw is probably the best that they could’ve hoped to have gotten once Carroll went down. I think the offensive line will be able to grind out some possessions, but Bloom’s spread attack will be too much.

PV’s draw is super difficult for a 1 seed, but I think they’ll move on.

Awful draw for Adena, especially with that bus ride.

I think Southeastern’s offense is going to be a nightmare for anyone to try and figure out in just a few days. Not sure if they can win, but I think they’ll put up some points.

In the end, I think PV is the only one that wins, but I could see Southeastern being in the game late. I’m hoping Adena and Unioto can be competitive

Good luck to all 4 SVC teams in the playoffs. I'll be pulling for all 4 of you.

Adena gets drilled at Shadyside.
Southeastern gets drilled at Northmor.
Unioto better defend the pass against Bloom or they will get drilled.
Paint Valley has a chance. Grandview has really beat nobody all year.

Good luck to these teams. They had some bad luck with the computer points.

SVC playoff record all time is: 16-38 30%

Pv has a tuff game but they will do fine. Southeastern always has a chance with ruby, when in doubt put him in the gun and let him go. Shadyside is supposed to be good but I have doubts about them last time they were real good... I went to watch them in the title game lol. I’ll give adena a shot it that game. As for the tanks, everyone knows we are very depleted but the line really looks good now. Bloom-Carroll is a one man team passing and running but I think we have a shot. I’m sure most on here look at our league as a joke but I feel like all 4 teams can win and the svc will be very strong next season as well.

How many of those 17 wins belong to Westfall and Paint Valley? My guess is 15 but I'm not sure.
It would be interesting to know the SVC team by team W-L record in the playoffs.

Yeah and I believe Westfalls 5 wins are over what a 2 year period where they had the right group of kids come through. Just no consistency in winning and PV probably most consistent team as far as making the playoffs go. Should have another run in them next year as well.

It was a 3 year period. 3 of those were in one season though.

To be completely fair to the 10 year run that Westfall had, the last 2 outstanding teams were in the equilivent of what is now Region 16 and we’ve all seen what it has done to the really good Waverly teams the last 3 years. Heck, the year after their last good group graduated, they led the entire game in what is now R19 before falling late to Martins Ferry, so they were very good for an extended period of time. That’s all gone now though.
