Matchup to watch is the athletic DL of the Cadets and Shadyside Olin’s. Fort can really get to the passer. Isiah Jones is a monster and king of the LANDSHARKS.

Exactly, Fort Frye always seems overlooked even after nice runs in the playoffs the last several years. I've seen the same people pick against us every week in the playoffs so far this year. We have an explosive offence as well, and after Friday hopefully name like Engle, Schilling, Schob, Fisher, Atkins, Greenleaf, and an Experienced o-line with Isiah Jones, will be permanent fixtures in the minds of all Shady fans.

Re: D6 23 Regional Final: Shadyside (10-2) vs Fort Frye (11-0)
Not a chance Fort Frye too athletic and fast at skill positions and up front both sides of the ball, can really get after qb. Shady in for a dogfight Friday.Jakefromstatefarm wrote: Sat Nov 10, 2018 12:12 pm Think the Fort’s run ends here. Shadyside will be too much imo. I’ll take the Tigers by two scores.

Fort has what 2 punts in first 2 playoff games? The offense has been humming.

Probably should end all the smack talk....got two very good well matched teams. Both teams are playing good ball right now. Shadyside has been there numerous times looking to get over that hurdle to being an elite team and Fort Frye having a great team reaching uncharted territory. While I obviously am hoping for a Tiger victory, I would be behind each team as they would compete the following week in the final four. May they both bring their "A" game, and the better team live to play another day.

Fort looking for first regional title but this team is no young pup in terms of playoffs this will be Tate Engles 9th playoff start. Trying to get redemption from the regional final loss in 2016.

Both outstanding football teams. Great offense and defense for both teams. As it usually happens between 2 evenly matched teams, the team that plays the cleanest game, as far as who makes the least mistakes, and has the fewest turnovers will walk away with the victory. Hope both teams have an injury free game.

Gotta agree , so equal in abilities , the team playing the cleanest game will probably win. Even one single penalty at an inopportune time could be the difference.
Re: Region 23 Finals: Shadyside (10-2) vs. Fort Frye (11-0)
Biggest difference in Shadyside this year is Coggins. Last year they were more one dimensional with Krupa and Banco.
This year, they can throw it just as well if not better than they run it.
I figured QB would be their weakness this year, but kudos to Coggins because he’s so much better than he was last year.
Won’t surprise me if FF wins this either, but playing Meadowbrook, Bellaire and Wheeling Central should prepare them well for this.

This. Both teams have to be fairly decent to have made it this far, but I think Shadyside will be more battle tested because of their schedule. I mean Meadowbrook just hung 50 on Ridgewood.

With these two teams appearing to be so equal .i won’t be surprised if fort wins but in a close win there lack of a kicking game could be the differenceouterbanksjake wrote: Mon Nov 12, 2018 12:18 pm Gotta agree , so equal in abilities , the team playing the cleanest game will probably win. Does shady still have the same coach they had back in 2013?
