Salyers will be a senior next year, Carrico a junior.burgfella69 wrote: ↑Mon Nov 19, 2018 2:29 pm With Carrico and Salyers both back, the offense will be very solid. I also think they return a lot of kids on D. Might make a run next season and play Burg tough yet again.

There should be over 70 kids on the roster next year. Might be the biggest roster in the history of the school.

Re: 2019 Ironton Tigers Outlook
Year one went pretty darn good for the Tigers.
They are playing with swagger again. I knew they hired the right guy to right the ship.
Expectations will be high next year.

The Lutz era may be long gone but will never be forgotten. This is a group of new coaches and new players. Give them time to establish their own identity and legacy. They will respond.
Once a Tiger, always a Tiger.

With the small Senior class (8) this year and the bigger Classes coming up the numbers should be very good.

It is an exciting time in the Tank. Departing senior leadership will be missed but future is bright.

Got to get these kids in the weight room working. I realize it is hard right now with the holidays coming up but this group needs to get a full off season in the weight room. The leadership in the weight room must show up within the kids themselves.

if you have had a chance to stand next to, or shake coach Pendleton's hands. it's obvious he is sold on the weight room. and now he has a full off season to mentor them. my worry at this time of year is. how many from the football team are on the basketball team. and how does the basketball coach feel about weight training. but all small schools encounter that.

Re: 2019 Ironton Tigers Outlook
Good grief. Give them a break. 99% of them are only going to play high school. This isn’t life or death. Pounding the weights doesn’t transcend to a better football team. It just gets you stronger. I’m sure Pendleton has a plan of how he wants the offseason to go.

Wrong. If two guys would have the same god given talent in football the stronger one would end up being the better player.

Looks like we have a pretty good Lineman coming back to Tigertown after being away for a couple years.

Amazing because if you listen to Mr Woodward talk about his team the 1st thing he says is how yard they work in the weightroomwobycat wrote: ↑Fri Nov 23, 2018 8:11 am Good grief. He fails to say how much they recruit or cheat

Anyways...back to Ironton. I think Coach Pendleton brought some fire back to Tigertown. Will that translate into more wins? That remains to be seen, but he’s building. I wish Ironton more and more success except for when they play The Burg. Onward to next season!!
