Northwest would be crazy to buy Montavon out. He’s got them on course to have some very good seasons over the next couple years. Their numbers have increased each year he’s been there and from what I hear so has the weight room attendance. Why would they mess up a good thing. But it is northwest and they go thru coaches like no one else. I’m hoping to file this one under the rumor label. I would like to see northwest be competitive yearly at football and I think that’s what is happening under him. It takes time at a place as historically bad as northwest. I think the only sport northwest has won at over the past couple years is soccer so I’m pretty sure his coaching isn’t what’s lost games. If there was talent other sports would be winning unless they think all their coaches need replaced? But he has been building a program that many believe will be competing for soc1 championship over next few years. The powers that be out there have to see past the wins and losses and see that. Why would they risk upsetting what they have coming over the next couple seasons? If this is true they either think their new facilities are going to bring in a big name coach (which they have done before dick Tipton, Larry hall), or they are playing the good old boy game and have a buddy they want to give it too.

I agree. It takes time to build a program. If he would decide to leave, is there an Assistant on staff that could keep things headed in the right direction?

Several of the schools in that conference have atarted club football, but I'm not sure if they will all play varsity at the same time.

How does that work? Which one counts for conference standings? I’ve never heard of teams playing twice in one regular season.
