Wheelersburg 21 - 20 Minford
Re: Week 6: SOCII Burg @ Minford
Geesh...was it just a straight up carry or was their some motion or anything deceptive?
Nice win Burg

I’d want my best player (Vogelsong Lewis) on a rollout with run/throw option in that situation. Still like Minford going for the win though. Great game*

They ran overload right. Only guard and tackle left of center.
All receivers right too.
Perhaps tried to slice Wiget in behind the slants. I believe it was same play that scored from 7 Out with 2:51 left.
The catch by Risner to make it 21-20 was Top Shelf. I think he caught the back of the ball

Re: Week 6: SOCII Burg @ Minford
1. Hats off to Burg and Minfords kids. They played hard.
2. Offensive play calling for Minford was atrocious. Threw the 4 times the first half. Never went back to the fly route that was called back for a TD. The once time they threw the ball on 1st down it went for a TD. Never threw it on first down again. Stevie Wonder could have predicted the play calling.
Both defenses played well and made plays when they needed them. The Mathews kid stripping Wiget and preventing a TD was a huge play.
Great game but when you have a kid that can throw the ball like VL, gotta get those quick passes to open up the run. That never happened.

WOW! What a game, too bad someone had to lose.
Minford had their chance but fumbles the ball going into the endzone in the first quarter, and can't kick an extra point. Should have never went to OT in the first place. Darn the bad luck, but a great play by Mathews to make a TD saving play. The RB knows to keep the ball high and tight until he hears the whistle, b/c a player like Mathews isn't going to give up on the play.
Congrats to W'burg on the win. Good luck to the Pirates on the rest of the season.
Hard fought slugfest by two playoff bound teams, and I'm sure these two will see each other again in the post-season.

Both the throw and catch were sick lol.LucasDavenport wrote: ↑Fri Oct 04, 2019 9:55 pm They ran overload right. Only guard and tackle left of center.

Not to steal any of Minford's thunder, but I think the fact that their kicker missed his last extra point attempt had some influence on them going for two. If they had 100% trust in their kicker maybe they don't take the chance and play for double OT.

Oct 04 (W6) H #268 Wheelersburg (2-3 D5 R19), pick: Minford W by 1 (52%), so basically this is a toss up.

Good win Wheelersburg! Horsley and Matthews really displayed a lot of heart and leadership tonight. Both of these young men have played banged up this season and they continue to give it all on every play. This is a true testament to their character. GO PIRATES!

I'm pretty sure that his site is analytics based and all the picks are done by computer. I will say that whatever system he designed or programmed is very good though.Ironman92 wrote: ↑Fri Oct 04, 2019 10:08 pmHe lostvladimir wrote: ↑Fri Oct 04, 2019 10:03 pmAll I can say is in the morning I have a 7am flight outta C-bus. Congrats to the Pirates on the huge win. Really needed this one.
Good luck to the Falcons the rest of the way. I see them winning out. Very good team.
