How many points do we have to beat Alex by....?
If we want to get in the playoffs, how much do we need to win by?
Re: How many points do we have to beat Alex by....?
I think you have to have a running clock by mid way third quarter. So at least 30.MarauderMadness wrote:If we want to get in the playoffs, how much do we need to win by?

You just need to win. Computer points gets you in. Score of the game doesn't matter.

The score has nothing to do with how you get into the playoffs. You could win by 1 or 100, it's the computer points you get for the win that puts you in.MarauderMadness wrote:If we want to get in the playoffs, how much do we need to win by?

Meigs will hang around for a while, but the Spartans will come away with the win.
Championship's are won in the off-season

I'm tickled to death seein meigs back in a winning program again in the 70's they were in the SEOAL with us.
IN THE LONG GRASS BY THE WATER, SO WATCH YOUR STEP. AND LET'S GO IRONTON FIGHTING TIGERS, OHIO STATE BUCKEYES AND THE CINCINNATI BENGALS
Re: How many points do we have to beat Alex by....?
I'm glad to see them scheduling some tougher competition and hope they keep doing it in years to come.

The bad thing is Meigs has to schedule up...Very hard for us in D4 Region 14.Bird Dog wrote:I'm glad to see them scheduling some tougher competition and hope they keep doing it in years to come.
Getting wins in the have to be played TVC-OHIO doesn't help us out tremendously when Alexander, NY, Wellston and River Valley are all D5. Then you have Athens and Vinton County at D3 in which many points aren't going to be earned beating VC.
The sad part is, Meigs is just a few kids over of being a D5 team and would be a lock for playoffs.
Meigs Football has improved a lot more then what people realize, everyone wants to jump on the Alexander bandwagon because they are having ONE great season...Most people are picking Alexander to walk all over Meigs Friday Night. Meigs has a pretty good record the last 3 years versus TVC-OHIO Teams 13-4 (3 of those Athens)
Alexander versus TVC-OHIO the last 3 years 8-9.
Senior Night at Meigs isn't going to make it any easier for Alexander.

Win by 21 and you will get in...LOL, how much anyone wins by has nothing to do with it.
