FAC expanison
IMO, the FAC needs to get to 8 teams. 6 team league is tough to maintain. If one team leaves the league is over with only 5 .
I feel McClain would jump at a chance to join the SVC. I don't think the western edge teams would approve a school east of Jackson. Most schools appear to be happy where they are. Who would be a good fit (size,travel..)?

I am of the if it ain't broke don't fix it frame of mind. Still it conference realignment always makes for witty banter. That being said, the FAC future roster will likely see the Highland County schools leave over travel issues meaning the league will eventually have to look north to Pickaway County or even Logan. Waverly and Unioto are better served by staying where they are.

Re: FAC expanison
Unioto is probably the dream school for the FAC but I can’t see them leaving the SVC
Re: FAC expanison
The FAC is not fine. It wont exist in 2 or 3 years. Maybe sooner. Teams need to be added for this league to last. Chillicothe will leave. Mark my words.

Who knows their reasoning for wanting to leave. But I think it will happen.

Where would they go? I don't see them going back to Columbus.veer wrote: ↑Tue Nov 19, 2019 10:28 amWho knows their reasoning for wanting to leave. But I think it will happen.
Re: FAC expanison
Columbus schools don’t wanna stay local in everything then drive down to Chillicothe. They don’t want it and not sure Chilly does either.
Unioto wanting out of the SVC is the only way I see any change in either league....and they don’t want to.
Not happening

Re: FAC expanison
Yes. I don’t see where people are getting this notion that Chillicothe is in any way a candidate to join another league, much less the Mid-State League.
Fairfield Union to Chillicothe? Eehhhhh. Wrong answer. I don’t see Hamilton Twp nor Bloom-Carroll going for it either.
Only remote possibility is some league formation revolving around Chillicothe, Teays Valley and Logan... but they would need dancing partners. A band of three a conference does not make.
Re: FAC expanison
I think since I have been on here Chillicothe has been in 3 leagues. Seems like FAC would add to a couple area teams before anyone would leave. SVC looks good at where they are. Once again it all depends on what they do in football. Seems like nothing else matters. Dose anyone know right off what each sport was won by each team in the FAC so far?

Chillicothe isn't who you need to worry about leaving first, they may be planning a move or feeling out other options but my guess it would be in response to a Hillsboro or McClain departure and the pressure that would put on the FAC.

Re: FAC expanison
For the record I think an expansion of some sort is needed because I do think it is fragile when it comes to commitment from a couple schools. I have always thought VC would be a good fit, as well as Unioto, but Unioto ain't leaving the SVC in my opinion.
Re: FAC expanison
Bingo....Chillicothe isn't going anywhere unless they're forced to leave they tried the Columbus territory years back and that was terrible for them. Unioto isn't going to leave the SVC you have a better shot of the SVC expanding and breaking into 2 leagues than you do Unioto leaving. Hillsboro and McClain especially are the teams to watch if there's a departure. McClain since FAC started 3 years ago, 1-14 in league play.Abe Froman wrote: ↑Tue Nov 19, 2019 12:32 pmChillicothe isn't who you need to worry about leaving first, they may be planning a move or feeling out other options but my guess it would be in response to a Hillsboro or McClain departure and the pressure that would put on the FAC.

Just telling you all what I have been told and my sources are credible. Choose to believe it or not.
