Coal Grove has already cancelled classes for Monday and Tuesday, and when they return, masks will be required.

Depends on what the COVID issue was.

I'm not opposed to seeing teams get games in however and whenever possible, but would be nice if schools were willing to be more transparent publicly on what their "COVID issues" specifically are instead of just using the blanket phrase.

That's interesting, how early did CG cancel the game? Might be possible that after they started doing their tracing they were able to play come Saturday but Valley already had a game scheduled just speculating. Doesn't really matter to much at this point as long as they've got the games in hand.

From what I’m understanding, that’s what happened. CG was unsure they would be able to play due to contact tracing, went ahead and let Valley know so they could find a game, but found out today they could play tomorrow.

Yeah that's what it is, they set it up so Eastern had 3 different opponents cancel so they could get to this point. WOW.

I get what you're saying but I believe they're what 6/7 years in varsity ball now I think we sort of have to strip the building a program talk away just a bit. I mean last couple years we've seen them competing for top spot in SOC1 and they made the playoffs last season as a legit 7 seed so it wasn't handed to them. I do get what you're saying to a point until you really start getting the youth into the varsity program and seeing how things are working but they've come a long ways for sure. With that being said and everything Eastern lost from last season CG best win this one or like you said they might not win one.
